Beautiful park located on the edge of dubuque. Large veterans memorial with a real helicopter on display. They have great lighting at night so you can still read all of the names. Plenty of seating and a walkway that goes out to overlook the pond.
Always a fan of remembrance and gratefulness to our worriers as it is due them. This is a great place to walk through and to show the kids so that they may understand the price that was paid for our freedom.
A great place to visit in any weather! Very nice and we saw while geese swimming, and a lot of lotus !
Had a veteran playing Taps with the trumpet when we visited. Was very special and moving. I'm not sure if this was a special occasion or not. But God bless our veteran's.
It is by far the BEST Veterans Memorial that I have ever seen. Nothing elsa even comes close. ALL of Americas wars are represented.
Very educational place, especially to teach children about the wars on the memorials. Plenty of benches and trail. The "pond" area has been cleaned up very well and a large pier was added. We went fishing there and only had one bite. Fish may just be dormant still. The "Shark Helicopter" is cool too. Great place to visit! I'm glad they changed it up. 4 stars only because there are no trash cans. I'm really hoping some will be added soon 😁 otherwise ignorant people will be ruining the pond and surrounding area with their trash.
EDIT TO ADD: There is now a garbage can, recycling and fountain there! 5 stars!
Nice Arena for USHL Hockey. Came in from out of town and had a good time with the Dubuque fans I sat next to. Really nice facilities. The parking situation could definitely be better. And they really could use a Big Screen for Replays. Otherwise I would have given 5 Stars.
This clean and well kept park area mainly features a soldier's memorial area, a ball fields area, a bike park with ramps, and a boat launch. The only item keeping it from 5 stars is its lack of a proper restroom facility (there is a Porta potty) by the bike park, and the sports buildings have separate facilities but those are limited use, not really available to park goers.

Been trying to get here for years, and was finally able to make-it when they're open. LOTS of options (from sandwiches, to meats, to prepared meals), all seemed very reasonably priced.

We have stayed at Four Mounds on many occasions. Our 1st stay was in the Marvin Gardens cabin. Itâs a lovely rustic spot in a clearing overlooking the Mississippi River. The kitchen is well stocked with utensils for cooking, a beautiful (working) s
