Mayflower Seafood Restaurant - Seafood restaurant in Goldsboro - 430 N Berkeley Blvd, USA

I ordered take out while at work one day. Once i got back to my job and open my food to eat, this is the baked potato they gave me. When i opened it, the dirt from the potatoe fell on my shrimp. I threw it all away. I didn't have time to go back up there i tried to call but was put on hold and they never came back to the phone.

This place really surprised me they have a good looking menu if you like seafood. Now the shrimp was hot an fresh not bad I also tried the flounder an whiting an break open the fish a foul fishy smell came from the inside of my cooked flounder I smelled it a few times it just wasn’t right so I went for the whiting it was even more fishy a smelled freezer burnt can’t trust that kinda hard to go back after that

Crab - shrimp dip was very good, but not enough pita slices for the size served. Catfish, sea scallops, and jumbo shrimp good. Breading heavier than on some Calabash style cooking. Catfish was excellent. Shrimp and scallops slightly overcooked but good. Service good and order delivered reasonably fast.Sweet tea moderately strong and sweet. Enjoyed it.

Mayflower in Goldsboro NC. Tried to order off the on line menu. Wanted to get sides of potato salad and broccoli plus carrot cake. Called in the order and was informed that they did not have potato salad nor broccoli. When I went to pick up the order I noted that potato-salad was on the GB menu but broccoli was not, nor could I find any cakes on the take-out menu. I have looked and cannot find an on line menu for the GB Mayflower. There is no contact info on the Mayflower web site for me to make a private inquiry.

My experience was very satisfying Excellent staff It was very clean Now getting to my well done steak it was cooked to perfection The toss salad was fresh and crispy to my likings The bake sweet potato was awesome My son shrimps was cooked just right also Would I recommend YES!

Awesome food priced reasonable. Great atmosphere and our server was great as well. We had an awesome experience there. It was our first time but won't be the last. (I had the grilled jumbo shrimp and my husband had the grilled sea scallops, both were delicious!)

Ordered take out by phone. It was my first visit here. Mistakenly went to the front door, I could see the takeout area & they were not busy at all was told that I needed to go back out & go to side take out door. I don't understand why the server could not walk across the room & get my order. Anyway I went back to the car & drove around to side door. My food was not even started. It was broiled so I had to wait a while. Food was great service needs improvement definitely.

Mayflower seafood is a great place for fried fish. The plates are large and the fish is very fresh. It's very close to Seymour Johnson AFB and the service is fast. The shrimp are small but they give you a bunch of them, and the cocktail sauce really brings out the flavor in the batter coating. The hushpuppies look a bit like onion rings and they're excellent. Great food at a great value. Definitely recommend it.
