Mayfair House Hotel & Garden - Hotel in Coconut Grove - 3000 Florida Ave, USA

The hotel is in a great location but overall the experience was extremely underwhelming. I arrived at the hotel at 3pm and was told that check in was not until 4pm. If I would like to check in early, there is a $75 fee. However if I would like to upgrade the room for $20 a day, I could check in immediately. I thought this was a decent deal so opted for that option. The room upgrade ended up being a downgrade. The room was extremely dark with no natural light. The balcony was damp and filled with water, making it completely unusable. The hotel seems very bare and there is very little hospitality. We did not receive housekeeping in our room until 6pm on the second day. When I told the house keeper that she could come back in 5 minutes, she expressed to me that she had to leave and did not have time. I had already made the bed myself. Overall this is was probably the worst hotel I have stayed in. The only good staff was at the Mayfair Grill and the rooftop bar. As for the hotel staff, it all fell a little short. I would not recommend staying here, there are better hotels in the area.

We had a lovely time at this hotel. It is a very relaxing atmosphere and they were very accommodating with my dog. All the staff are so approachable and friendly. We especially enjoyed Fabian from the Valet, he brings an amazing energy to the team! My only critique is that the pet fee is a bit expensive, it would make a lot more sense for it to be a deposit that gets refunded if no damage occurs.

I wanted to leave a quick review about my stay here. I am accustomed to staying at bigger hotels such as Hilton or Marriott so I had a little bit of a reservation about staying here after reading a few negative reviews but I wanted the experience of a boutique hotel this time. Let me tell you…my experience was exceptional!!! It smelled amazing as previously said in another review. It is centrally located, my room was huge and so nice. The service was top tier 👌🏿, Jason was exceptionally great and I love that I was able to communicate with him in and other staff in real time via text. I will definitely be staying again.

What a beautiful hotel! I loved the gardens, complimentary cocktails with the stay, gorgeous clawfoot tub in the room, and amazing decor. The staff was really nice as well. Dom & Ricky at the Mayfair Grill were extra accommodating and friendly. Thanks so much & see you next time!

Beautiful hotel centrally located within walking distance anywhere in coconut grove. Very helpful and attentive staff also! Jason in the lobby was extremely accommodating along with Alberto on the pool deck. Mayfair Grill was excellent for happy hour as well. Did not get the name of the bartender but he was great, knew his drinks and was very accommodating as well. The room was amazing, it had a soaking tub, king bed, sofa and a huge balcony

I was visiting with friends at the rooftop bar and pool area and I was pleasantly surprised. The ambiance was nice and comfortable and Phillipe our server was fantastic. It's good to see the younger generations take pride in their work and be attentive to customers in such a way. The staff in general is excellent. Will definitely be coming back.

Her warm smile, attentive care, and kind demeanor made us feel like royalty. She went above and beyond to ensure our every need was met, and her knowledge of the menu was impressive.
