Our weekend at May River Manor was nothing short of magical. The property is beautifully maintained, with lush greenery and meticulously manicured lawns. The rooms capture the essence of Low Country charm, blending classic elegance with modern comfort. The cozy furnishings and tasteful decor created a romantic atmosphere that made us feel right at home. Breakfast was a highlight of our stay. Each morning, we were treated to an array of delicious dishes, from fluffy pastries to perfectly cooked eggs. The fresh-squeezed juice was a delightful touch, and I find myself wishing I could have it every day. The attention to detail and quality of the ingredients really set this experience apart. Our day by the pool was equally enjoyable. The pool area was clean, spacious, and had plenty of comfortable loungers for relaxation. The staff was attentive and made sure we had everything we needed, from fresh towels to cool drinks. Their warmth and friendliness contributed significantly to our overall sense of relaxation. In short, May River Manor is a perfect oasis for anyone seeking a relaxing escape. The exceptional service, beautiful surroundings, and exquisite food make it a destination worth visiting. I can't recommend it enough for those who need a break from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

This is a fantastic addition to Bluffton. The property was immaculate and the rooms were luxurious. The service is unparalleled, very attentive to every need. The wine and cheese offering in the afternoon, and the music piped in were extra touches. The Manor will arrange a variety of activities from cruises, to helicopter rides to backcountry explorations and fishing trips. The owner was on-site, and the dedication to detail was appreciated, as you could tell it was his labor of love to bring this building to life. Great pool area, and it's hidden away from the road, so very quiet and relaxing experience all around. Local art added a nice touch, and the breakfast was incredible and custom made for each guest. Welcoming General Manager who was really into making us feel comfortable and appreciated with genuine service to take care of every need.

Incredible experience at the May River Manor! My bed was beyond comfortable, I loved waking up and practicing yoga on the veranda overlooking the pool. After my practice I was delighted to find a delicious breakfast waiting for me downstairs. The May River Manor, is perfectly located within an easy 30 minute drive to Hilton Head and 15 minutes from some great shops and restaurants. Meg and owner Amador made me feel like I was a part of their family and I would highly recommend everyone to book a stay here!

Looking for a hotel east of Savannah, we stumbled upon May River Manor. Spontaneously, we booked it, and it turned out to be the best decision. They do not promise too much on the web site. We even extended our stay.||The May River Manor is conveniently located close to many interesting spots in the Lowcountry: Savannah, Hilton Head, different wildlife refuges, golf courses, shopping, and more. Yet, it lies very quietly in the neighborhood of some private communities on its own large piece of land within a forest. At night, it can be totally quiet without any noise inside or outside.||The house is a marvel, renovated over several years by the owner. One can simply sit somewhere and admire all the affectionate and skillfully restored details.|At the same time, the electrical and digital infrastructure of the house is modern, e.g. internet, lights.|The five rooms are all different in size and furniture, offering several possibilities for guests.||All rooms have access to the front or back porch with comfortable seating. The community room downstairs is a hall with an open kitchen and several cozy seating areas. The beds are not only new but of highest quality, everything is clean and thought out well.||The breakfast is prepared by a chef who not only offers interesting and delicious combinations but also prepares what you want.|Soft drinks and water are complimentary, as well as snacks and beverages in the late afternoon.||The garden is large and features a reasonably sized pool with another set of comfortable seats and loungers, tastefully combined.|The staff is very welcoming, responsive, and friendly. They treat you as a house guest, giving recommendations and assisting with reservations, etc.||It is worth mentioning that this place is brand new, having started in 2024. Had an amazing stay at May River Manor. Very nice attention to detail from the rooms to the food to the friendly service. The pool was welcoming and the two different terraces of the Manor were great to enjoy the outdoors with fans and palms blowing in the breeze. We even did yoga on the upstairs veranda. The location was sensational, quiet and tucked away, but only a short 10 minute drive to the town of Bluffton, which had lovely boutiques and restaurants. We even caught a Farmer's Market there on Thursday morning. The GM arranged some amazing special activities, like a helicopter ride over the islands of Hilton Head, and a cruise on the water. Nice touches included the wine and cheese plate in the afternoon, and the personal relationship with the owner who popped in to make sure everything was fantastic.

The May River Manor is a step above all the rest. The level of service provided by everyone was beyond any of my expectations. From the welcome to making sure that you are comfortable and have whatever you need, it is outstanding. Not only that but they have a chef preparing breakfast that exceeds any 5 star hotel. A fabulous experience!

So a few weeks ago I won a night away at the May River Manor. This was an amazing girls night with one of my close friend. We were well taken care of during our stay and May River Manor made sure we had everything we needed. So calming and relaxing. I can see us making this a yearly trip!

This place was incredible. The manor was not only beautiful, but the staff went above and beyond to make my stay unforgettable. Delicious food, peaceful atmosphere, and fabulous amenities. We loved the pool!!!! I booked this stay for a girls getaway weekend. I can’t wait to come back with my husband for an anniversary trip! Perfect place for a vacation or staycation for bluffton, Hilton head, or Savannah locals! I felt like I had escaped to a relaxing paradise!
