It was my birthday and I wanted to go somewhere special. Max's Tavern was that place!! The service was amazing, and the food and drinks were excellent. A varied menu that made it hard to decide. I started with fresh oysters that were so delicious I would have ordered a dozen but wanted an entrée. I chose the seared duck. It melted in my mouth. My martini was made to order, and the bartender kept my preferences! I was impressed. I did want to have dessert and decided to have the banana pudding and indulge at home......I woke up with a food hangover, and it was worth the pain! I highly recommend Max's for your next dining experience. And, I must give a shout out to my server, Jack, who made the evening even better with his efforts. Only he knows!!!
Our server was GREAT!!!! You HAVE to get the Maple Ice Cream…it was delicious. The 10oz Flat Iton was a 10/10 The Chicken was a 10/10 The Calamari was an 11/10 (YES)!!
It was less 5 min wait without reservations. It is a kids friendly place. Loved the atmosphere with all the basketball players picture and well lit. Rest room is clean and place is kept clean. Lunch menu was limited yet had sufficient variety. Nice place to go with your colleagues or family to have nice time.
The location is great if you’re heading north/south on 91. Parking is easy and free. The food was excellent and better than I expected or remembered. We have been before but the food and service seemed much better this time. We had the chicken and salmon for main course and they were both very good.
They have a poke bowl that you can get pescatrian or vegetarian style (tofu). It was okay but make sure to ask for soy sauce or Sriracha because it can be a little dry alone.
Amazing meal to celebrate a special day! Great food, cooked well. Great drinks and service.
Great location right by Basketball Hall of Fame. Restaurant had a unique layout with a very narrow bar area at the right of the entrance, then a tiered dining area and side dining room. We went for a quick lunch but ended up turning into nearly 2 hrs!! The menu was extensive & the food was good but our particular server was inattentive. A huge 15+ person table which was sat at least 20mins after our small 3 person party had all their meals come up before us despite putting in our order right away. Then we waited another 20+mins to get our bill despite going up to the hostess and asking her if we could pay because we had to get going and had not seen the waitress anywhere for a long while.
Have been here a few times. And the sister restaurant in New Hartford many times. It’s always a cozy go to feel good place and the food is pretty good. A few things they could really improve though with minimal cost and effort. First don’t serve measly oysters at 3.25 each. If an oyster looks tiny then either give it as an extra or switch it out. It’s pathetic at that price. And one buy the same oysters at the 100 count for 1.25 so why be so mean. Second the food arrived pretty much all at the same time and it was warm not hot so by the time you got around to the main course it was almost cold. We had the burger and crab cake. Nicely prepared but not clear of the kitchen was having issues of the server didn’t know how to enter the order. That said the food itself was well prepared but just a bit cold. The wine was however good and good value. The 2018!Bordeaux Superior at 48 usd is pretty reasonably priced for the quality and a bit of a rarity in these here parts. So hopefully that reflects someone who knows what they are doing as opposed to a random purchase. Overall it does the job but you feel they could be so much better with little effort.

I have gone to cafe christo many times over the years. My parents had their anniversary party here, the food was great and a band of family friends played. This morning we went for breakfast with the baby per usual. The place is small but you can sea
Place has been here forever. Great food, good atmosphere, good drinks. Itâs been here this long for a reason. Ordered the club and a tuna melt and both were amazing.
Went here in search of stromboli, was introduced to stuffed bread, and just like the shop said it was 10x better in every way! They really make them with care and dedication, and theyâre really great to talk to while you wait. Glad we visited on ou
Best baked potato in the city. They offer a wide variety of toppings sthat make this a meal. My personal favorite is ground beef, shredded chicken, mixed veggies, and cheese. Delicious every time and I go at least once a week ð¤¤
I like going here because itâs got some good deals. The man bumpy himself is someone you have to meet. Friendliest guy in town, probably should run for mayor. The store itself has so much stuff. Look around and your bound to find a deal somewhere.
This is a beautiful building containing original marble. It has beautiful grand halls and rooms decorated with original fine art pieces. There is one particular room with a huge wall to wall piece that I loved because it has a lot of details. It's a
Dewey's had such a great atmosphere. We met friends there for a drink and once we saw the menu, we decided to order. We ordered wings with bourbon, crab cakes, Cajun shrimp dip, and loaded mac and cheese. Everything was delicious.. we sat at the bar
Really cool spot with great locally-sourced food options. Many menu items including vegetarian & vegan options (more than just one!). I ordered breakfast (stops at 11am) and got the Southwest Scramble. It was so good!! Raspberry Danish & vanilla latt
Omg! SO good. Everything is handmade and the cocktails are perfect! The staff is so friendly. The bartender even walked me back to my hotel when it got dark. Would highly recommend esp for out of town people looking for something unique.
This place makes food so delicious that you'll be coming back for more. My wife loved the chicken and rice soup. I had a sandwich that tasted really good. This restaurant should be more well- known.
We had a great day in the Springfield museums. I like that all of the museums are included with 1 entrance fee. The grounds/courtyard is just as engaging with their gardens & statues.
