I'm not a beer drinker, so take my review how you like. We had a work party here, preplanned with management's reserving the back room. We weren't told that we'd be shuttling back and forth to the bar to serve ourselves, but okay, we made it work. The bartender was as helpful as he could be with the situation.
But - appetizers come out, and I have to go ask for silverware, and napkins, and more plates. We're dining in, but everything is in a to-go box. It was odd, you're still paying normal prices for burgers and nachos.
Yes, the wings are awesome. The ribs were good too. The rest was just average. There's a $1 charge for lettuce and tomato.
BLUF - sure, go if you just want wings and beer, and some rough (edgy? Ehhh, I like bathroom stalls that work tho) atmosphere.
Max's Taphouse is always a must stop when visiting Baltimore. A six page tap list and bottles and cans to go. There is no place like it for craft beer. Super nice people and great a atmosphere.
Saturday it was my pleasure to sit at the bar and enjoy a flight of beers at this establishment. I loved everything about this spot. Very welcoming and loads of sitting. Was not crowded at all when I went cause it was early early 😛
They had so many beers to choose from ale, portes, stouts, Pilsner, wheats, IPA you name it it is there. The bartender was so very friendly. I had the flight and then a 10oz all for less that $30
So if you are walking around and you see Max’s Taphouse you need to drop in and sample up some beer. 🥰
Definitely recommend and would come back.
Great beer, great atmosphere. This is the kind of local Taphouse you don't want to skip out on.
Fantastic beer menu for all beer enthusiasts. Highly recommend all Belgian beer options on draft and bottle. Personal preference is every sour ale option!
We stopped in at Max's Taphouse while in Baltimore based on the recommendation of several other people and we were not disappointed! They had 100 beers on tap available plus a variety of cans and bottles. The selection was excellent. One note if you plan to visit. They had 5oz pours of everything available but they didn't have any flight trays so you had to carry all the glassware yourself. If you happen to have a flight tasty from somewhere, bring it. Otherwise, the place is fantastic!
Great beer selection, one of the best in Baltimore. It can get busy and have slow service. But worth the wait for such a good selection. The food isn't great and you would be better eating elsewhere and just going to Max's for drinks.
We did not try food so this review is based solely on the bar experience and their extensive beer selection. Due to the Labor Day holiday and it being a Monday our options of breweries in the area were basically zero with almost all being closed. We still wanted to try local brews though and this came up as the best option I could find. It did not disappoint at all and was worth the stop. With roughly 110 beers or so on draft and even more options in cans/bottles you can’t tell me they don’t have a beer you like. Especially since you can get small pour samples. We tried a variety of beers, just around 10 or so and most of them were great. If you are a craft beer fan this place is a must stop. Great selection of local brews as well as stuff from all over the place as well (even saw Maine represented with Lone Pine Brewing and Maine Beer Co). Bartenders were both friendly and full of jokes. Great staff and vibes as well as beer list. Would return to try more beers and try the food as well.
This place is simple yet very good. The cocktails are really really good. I would definitely go back with my friends. The food is good too. It's a nice place to hangout with friends. It gets busy very fast.
We traveled from New Jersey for a concert and were looking for a bar to get dinner and drinks at before the show. I had looked at a few places online and went with this place based of the 5 star reviews and it did not disappoint. We sat at the bar, w
Dutch Courage is a terrific place for cocktails and relaxation. A quick pass through their detailed drink offerings showed 9 full pages of just gins. Their variety made it particularly easy for us to order from their much shorter list of daily cockta
Awesome place! New owners, Dre and Natty are amazing!!! I love the atmosphere at Ellieâs, great bartenders, jukebox, pet friendly, second floor very spacious, outside seating, cheap drinks and clean restrooms.
Food is great! I personally love thei
This gem is set in the heart of Hampden. Incredible energy from both bar staff and regulars. I was greeted with enchanting laughter as I walked into the bar . They make a very smooth old-fashioned that's made in-house , I also recommend the Low Life
Cheers ! Great mead. If you donât like wine or beer you might like mead ! Mead is honey wine and their options range from mildly sweet to very sweet. Definitely would recommend Get the mango slushee !!!
I feel like a Skyrim character drinking me
Such a great vibe here. Tons of TV's for games and a decent beer selection. Will be back for sure. Oh and extra points for the bathroom decor. Came back and Big Mick was solid.
Ultimate vibes in a cozy, creatively lit space. Donât come hungry, the focus only on delivering fantastic mixed drinks. Plenty of seating, bar service only
This is one of the good old FELLS POINT bars. No grills totally laid back. Some of the best bands in town play here because the LOVE IT. saw ARTY HILL and the LONG GONE DADDYS there a month ago and they blew the roof off with some awesome honky tonk.
Bill and Tonya were INCREDIBLE hosts. The breakfast was delicious, the room was spacious and well maintained. Also, Zulu was the cutest company for our breakfasts. Truly the only place weâll ever stay in Baltimore.
