Max's Sports Bar - Sports bar in Memphis - 115 GE Patterson Ave, USA

Very comfortable sports bar, friendly and attentive staff, and good food. i loved my IPA and Italian sami with chips. Sami was nicely toasted but bread was soft, and just the right size.

Max's is the ultimate small but amazing sports bar. The bartenders know how to handle a packed house and the drinks are nice and affordable. To go with the drinks, I ordered a Turkey Sandwich with Chips and Cheese Sticks. I mean it was outstanding bar food. While Max's probably packs out with 40 folks in there, it is still a great establishment to patronize.

It's a great local bar, especially if you want to watch a sports game. The food is surprisingly simple but delicious. My only problem was because they were busy. The service was okay. We didn't mind this because we were watching the game. They were very attentive to our needs.

Got my picture on the wall!!!!! The place was chill and very laid back. Jukebox bumping good music due to moi. But I met so many cool people in this bar and had a wonderful time. Deep memories man.

Spent a night in Memphis and stumbled upon Max’s Sports Bar on google. Glad I did! It was a Tuesday night, so not a big crowd, but it defiantly had that down home local bar feel that you don’t find much of these days. Bartender was great and all the local patrons were more than welcoming. Good local draft beer selection and the BBQ nachos are a must. Probably the best I’ve had! Will definitely be back next time my travels bring me to the area.

Took over an hour to get our food and when I asked why it was taking so long I was told by a staff member to go somewhere else and order a pizza if I wanted service in a timely manner. Very rude, unprofessional with negative customer service. We paid our bill first and left a nice tip because our waitress knew we were trying to make a 1:00 escape room reservation. We arrived at Max’s at 11:50 and had to leave at 12:55 with our food placed in “doggy bags”. Since we paid the bill and tipped before we received our meal, no one cares that we were forgotten about. The owner of the bar MAX, NEVER spoke to me even though he was present during the entire ordeal. I have family that works at the visitors bureau and they will be recommending tourists visiting downtown NOT go to this restaurant.

Great pub environment with plenty of TVs for your favorite game.

Max's is one of the most amazing bars in Memphis. Mike and Bjarini are the best bartenders you could ever have. The drinks, the atmosphere, all of it make it one of my favorite places!
