Max's Es-Ca is an amazing restaurant located on richmond ave. If you never been here its worth trying out! The beef wellington is the best entree they offer in my opinion. The tuna tartare, baked clams and pumpkin cheesecake are very good.

Impeccable service. Good food. Roomy (lots of space between tables). Lively bar (when the Mets hit a grand slam, nobody cared, so Yankee territory). Fun events/shows.

Absolutely stunning beef wellington and also pork chops. I don't know who Phil is but he's doing it right. What a gem of a place! Free bread for dinner dine in as well. Definitely coming back for more!

Shoutout to Jake, the waiter, who did everything he can for us to have a great dining experience. Steak was cooked great. The Old Fashioned was made to perfection. I appreciated the outside seating and how you can actually hear the people you’re talking to as opposed to many other restaurants where you have to always yell in a crowded area.

Food and atmosphere are always great. It's a place you can go to all the time because there's plenty to choose from and specials are offered on different nights. The rack of lamb is a favorite too. Everyone there is very welcoming and the servers go above and beyond to please you.

Went there with a group of 14 and loved every minute. The service was spot on and very accommodating. The food was great. I will be going back again. Definitely recommend this place

Every few years, me and my friends from junior high school get together and we wouldn't choose any other place to be besides Max's Es-Ca. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, the menu is beyond awesome and the atmosphere is whatever we need it to be. Sometimes we're in a party mood and sometimes we want a relaxing dinner. They're able to handle both situations equally as well.

So we went early on a Saturday. Not crowded so they sat us in the back tent which I wasn't crazy about but at the same time, didn't mind the lack of noise either. For starters fried calamari and baked clams. Calamari was good, baked clams were dry, and more scorched than toasted. I had 2 glasses of white wine, the second glass was not exactly chilled. Waited a long time for dinner, but staff was very nice and acknowledged it. I had a veal chop for 60 bucks and it was overcooked and under seasoned. The shallot, sherry reduction was barely cooked so it was thin and flavorless other than near raw sherry. I put salt on the chop and ate it because I was hungry and at that point, it was protein. The other dishes my family had were underwhelming. Not worth the money. Near-fine dining cost. Covid, outside dining ambiance. The food tasted like the work of cooks, not chefs. Desert was not worth the calories either.
