We had no problems walking in and sitting since it’s the off season. They are open 365 days. The food was DELICIOUS and the staff here is very friendly. We had the Wild Bill Sandwich, and the Applewood Pulled Pork sandwich. This place does not disappoint.
Had a hard time deciding where to go eat due to all of the selections in town. Researched on Google reviews for 30 minutes prior to choosing. Landed with Mavericks due to it being my grandsons name. We were not disappointed. The wait was about 45 minutes but there is a casino downstairs to waste a little time and money. The food was excellent and Joseph did a great job with service. I had the ribeye and it was cooked perfectly to medium rare. The garlic mashed potatoes was also unbelievably good. My wife had the grilled chicken queso with onions and loved it. Take my word and all if my reviews and trust me. Great place to eat.
We love to grab Mavericks steak house any time we are in Deadwood. The food reminds me of a local steakhouse back home. Food is reasonably priced and a large menu. Be advised that if you go during an event they have a modified menu to accommodate all the guests. There is something for everyone and the steaks are very good!
Our first time eating at Mavericks. Essentially, it is a sport's bar upstairs over looking a casino. The food was alright. The soup of the day was Loaded Baked Potato. It's built on a cheese soup base with bacon bits, diced potato pieces and a touch of onion. Thick. Tasted good. (Seriously, what can go bad when you start with cheese soup as the base as long as it isn't scorched?) I ordered the Applewood smoked bacon cheese burger with queso cheese and no bun (No bun? Yes, no bun.) My side was the chili cheese fries. The Applewood bacon was thick and cooked over done. Solid as a rock cooked bacon. The burger pattie was great with the white quest cheese. The chili on the chili cheese fries is homemade according to the menu. It tasted great. Fries were crispy. My lunch companion ordered the pasta dish off the dinner menu. Chicken Tortellini. It came with 2 dinner buns that were cold from the refrigerator. We would eat here again, but maybe after we've tried some of the other restaurants in town.
We eat at Maverick’s every time we come to Deadwood. We were there over Kool Deadwood Nights and the amount of people they have to accommodate is insane! They went above and beyond to help us out and their service and food was amazing! Keep doing what you do you guys are fabulous!!!
Great place for dinner.. Had the ribs and also the prime rib.. Was very accommodating and only had to wait for 30 minutes for a table. The ribs were fall off the bone delicious and the waiter was top notch.. Would definitely recommend this place. Don't look at the menu online though because they didn't have the appetizer we wanted!
Restaurant is upstairs inside the casino and they were happy to have children dine in, too. Our table was ready before they said it would be and it was busy! Everyone enjoyed their meal and my hard to please tween was very happy with his steak!
We went to have a meal after being told it was the best steak in Deadwood. I ordered medium rare. It was definitely RARE but the flavour was great so I ate it anyway. The garlic cheddar mashed were amazing!!! We both loved them. The full rack of ribs was tender and fall off the bone!!! YUMMY!!! Buffalo chicken noodle soup was a soup I will dream about having again that’s for sure. Atmosphere was great and our server was good. The downfall was our mixed drinks. I ordered an original lime margarita, I had 2 sips it was awful and I LOVE margaritas. Very disappointing. My hubby ordered a Caesar and just tasted like tomato juice. Other than that we had a great supper and would recommend definitely the ribs and mashed potatoes!!!

We really enjoyed Wild Bill Bar in Deadwood. Full of photos and collectibles including an acknowledgement of the spot where Will Bill Hickok was shot. Excellent, attentive bartender, too!
