I recently visited the Maurya Indian Restaurant for a quick bite, and I must say it was a pleasant experience. The restaurant is conveniently located inside the store, which adds to its accessibility.
We opted for the Chole Bhatura, and it was promptly served to us. The food itself was quite delicious, leaving us satisfied with our choice. The store is impressively organized, offering a wide selection of Indian cuisine, and I particularly appreciated the availability of freshly made South Indian dosas.
I would recommend Maurya Indian Restaurant for a quick bite, especially if you're looking for a flavorful and speedy meal. However, it might not be the ideal choice for those seeking an elaborate dining experience. Overall, a solid option for a casual, tasty meal
Extremely authentic southern Indian restaurant tucked inside a grocery store! One of the best Indian food experiences in Seattle. Gigantic dosa. Plenty of vegetarian and gluten free options. Can’t wait to work my way through this menu.
A decent place to get all your Indian groceries done. The vegetables are quite fresh. The thing I like about their grocery is the cost is very transparent. They have a few screens that display the vegetable (both picture and name) with the price. I have rarely seen this type of transparency for Indian vegetables elsewhere. Kudos to them. Their frozen section is quite comprehensive. They also a nice cozy restaurant on the back of the store. The food there is fine.
Small and quaint Indian grocery store with an attached cafe. Their fresh produce section is my favorite. They stock fresh Sapotas when they are in season. I bought a bunch and let them ripen in a paper bag and they taste just like the Sapota I used to eat in India. The idli batter is also great. The best I have tried so far.
Delicious authentic food with subtle flavors, incredibly tender meat. Biryani was a generous portion and had lovely nuances of clove and cardamom. This place is also a busy grocery store with a multitude of hard to find items from India. Was brought here by friends from India who recommended it for its genuine flavors.
The best idli I have ever had in Washington. Portions are generous and the idli is so fluffy it melts in your mouth. It's a must try. They have some good biryani too.
Absolutely loved the food here.
Grocery store: fresh produce, love the fenugreek, dill, guavas here!
Restaurant: food is EXCELLENT! Super soft idlis melt in the mouth. Their early morning weekend breakfast is a dream come true! One star shy of 5 star due to their customer service. The lady at the cash register is VERY rude and unfriendly.
All the dosas were soggy, Mysore dosa was too spicy.Masala dosa was alright. Paneer dosa was bland.Filter coffee was pricey & not filter at all. We had very high hopes to taste good South Indian food, but it turned out to be mediocre. Very disappointing and Unsatisfactory. Will not go again to this place for the breakfast.
