Stayed here for Indian Wells 2024 tennis tournament. Great value place! The rooms all face very nice green tree area instead of a parking lot and cars. Remodeled bathrooms look awesome. Just ask for what you need and the front desk man will help you, he was very nice. Towels are thin and toiletries/coffee aren't the finest but this is very minor. Honest and family-owned vibes here. I recommend it!
This quaint recently remodeled motel is a great spot for a quiet get away weekend. The hotel has a throw back feel to the small roadside motels of the 50s and 60s. The location is ideal for the Coachella concerts and is right down the street from Shields Date Shop! They have a pool and the rooms have a clean new appearance complete with mini kitchen with refergerator and micro wave oven. Fruit trees and garden area offer a pleasant spot to grab a swim and soak up some rays. Room rates are very reasonable. WiFi is free and they have big flat screen TVs. UPDATE very important It is very unfortunate that owners like the crew at this motel run the place like your in a slum like place in INDIA! When I checked in the little man said 50 dollar deposit! Let me be clear only in Indio do motels require this deposit and most in this area are run by Indians from India! they are a grumpy sad bunch of people who do not engage people on any social level! So when I checked out he told me no deposit back because the room was not up to whatever standards; ****DO NOT GO HERE**** I filed a police report and these sorry bunch of people need to close up their motel I REPEAT --- STAY AWAY!
I was pleasantly surprised. Great newly renovated rooms with fridge and microwave. For the price its a steal.
I stayed here for a horse show where I just needed a clean, quiet, simple, affordable place to stay for a longer extended stay. Mauna Loa Motel exceeded my expectations! Upon check-in, they mentioned that they had noted my online request for a quiet room, and they offered to show me two different rooms so that I could choose which of them I preferred. (That was really thoughtful, I don't even think the Four Seasons does that.)||||They pointed out different amenities in the two rooms so that I could choose which better suited my needs. (That was nice because I love a bath after a long day at a horse show, and one of the rooms had a bathtub so I was excited to have been offered the opportunity to choose which room was better for me.) ||||Kenny and Sam, who are owners, were extremely nice and helpful throughout my stay. I felt like family any time I needed anything, not just a faceless/nameless guest.||||Dee and Bob are this amazing couple who work there, and throughout my stay they were extraordinarily helpful any time I needed anything, even waking up very early to help me one chilly morning. They are so nice, I can't say enough good things, and they too made me feel like I was visiting family.||||I really love the rose bushes in front. Be sure to stop and smell them, they are some of the most fragrant roses I have ever encountered. The pool area has nice greenery enclosing it, making it a peaceful place to relax and read a book. Also, I felt that for a budget motel, Mauna Loa has a lot of charm and a peaceful, pretty atmosphere with a lot of greenery.||||When I am in this area again, Mauna Loa Motel will be the first place I book. I am very appreciative that they offer a clean, safe, cute motel at an affordable rate.
Stopped by en route to the big tennis tournament and pulled in here, Kelly, the manager, was very friendly and accommodating. She offered to assist me with my laundry for a low cost. The room was huge and more modern looking inside than I would have thought given the age of the building. there was hot water galore for the showers too. Only negative was that the hot tub wasn't working then.||||Overall, a very homelike feeling and very friendly people!
We stayed here for three days and nights. When you first pull in you think ...... Oooooh, old motel. It is BUT it is a C-L-E-A-N- old motel. The owner keeps the grounds nice too. We saw the pool being cleaned but the owner apologized that he couldn't keep the hot tub hot.|||| Checked out more than one room. We inspected #112, 105 & 106. Chose #106 as it had a small kitchenette but two double beds. These beds were pretty hard/firm and if you are tall you have to sleep catercorner.|||| Older TV but plenty of channels. Old microwave and fridge but they were clean and they worked fine. The mgr. gave us extra coffee and towels.|||| So for $60 per night you get what you pay for. Pleasantly surprised but happy to have paid about $180 for three nights whereas the hotel we stayed at last year was up to $175 per day.|||| Check out the Mauna Loa Motel in Indio if you want to save $money$
They really upgraded this hotel! I almost didn't even recognize it at all. Great location! Right next to Neils, which is a fun local bar!
Old but clean. Outside and check in office give very negative impression, but room was large, clean, had micro and sizable frig, decent tv. Downside, no blankets on beds, just sheets and comforter, heater worked well but wouldn't shut off until too hot in room, some very small ants around sink in bathroom. Overall not too bad, worth the price considering area.
I am so thankful we came across this studio two years ago! We started with the bully-proof week session and here we are a few years later, enjoying this amazing community of Gracie jiu jitsu. Cameron is such a down to earth guy, he works so well with
Stayed at the Worldmark nearby and this was on their list of recommendations, but was also on my list based on reviews I looked at before arriving. Everything about this place was great.. the friendly staff and homemade food! We had a salad with sh
