Maty's, nestled in Midtown 5, is an absolute standout, especially if you're a fan of Peruvian cuisine. Having recently been to Peru, I can confidently say this restaurant is a true gem in capturing the essence of Peruvian flavors. However, what truly sets Maty's apart is their exceptional customer service. Sergio, Valerie, and Gabriela redefine hospitality—they're attentive, knowledgeable, and their warmth adds immensely to the dining experience. The dishes reflect an authentic taste of Peru, and the care put into each plate is evident. Maty's is a must-visit, not just for the incredible cuisine, but for the outstanding service that truly makes you feel at home.

Loved their previous restaurant-but this one is on fire! The staff is excellent-attentive-servers know the menus and ingredients-food is served quickly-quality of ingredients is very high-presentation is as beautiful as delicious. Do yourself a favor and try the oxtail. One of the best dishes I have eaten while in Miami this week!

The food was good, design of the restaurant is very nice. My ceviche was a bit tough in texture but the chicken Milanese was great. Felt like we were constantly getting up sold by the waiter and then kicked out before we could even finish our bottle of wine. Only natural wines on the menu and the most affordable one was “sold out”. FYI- 20% gratuity is already baked into check.

Not all Peruvian restaurants are the same, especially this one. Maty's elevated dining experience will definitely satisfy the most demanding palate. It's located in the bustling Midtown Miami so parking can be tricky but there's a garage by Pet Smart that's pretty much empty and just 1/2 block away. As soon you enter the restaurant you'll be greeted by the friendly host. The dining room is warm, modern, open, and not stuffy. Clean lines and neutral colors. Very easy on the eyes. The bar is all the way to the right and it's a good size. Cocktails were very good. I recommend the Martini Sucio. As for the food, we just ordered a bunch stuff to share. We got the Cordero (lamb chops), Atun Tiradito (bluefin tuna), Cebiche Tradicional (black grouper), Arroz Con Pato (Rohan duck), Choclo, and Picarones. My gawd. Each dish was perfectly prepared and the presentation was marvelous. Our favorites were the lamb and duck but you will be satisfied with the other dishes we ate or any dish you order from the current menu. Chef Val Chang really knows how to wow his guests with simplicity, flavor, and quality ingredients. This place is not for everyone especially if you like traditional Peruvian food which is abundant in Miami. It's a bit pricey but you are paying for quality and outstanding service. It's worth it because because Maty's will take you to a culinary journey.

If you want to have food made with amazing ingredients and perfectly paired flavor pallets go to Maty’s. Genuinely good food with keeping true to its roots. From the appetizers to the main courses you’ll have flavor explosions. One of my favorite restaurants hands down.

Very bright flavors in an airy space. Enjoyed the scallop ceviche most of all. Prices are upscale Miami but the presentation and flavors make it worthwhile. Interesting drinks and kind servers.

Comparable to any fast food restaurant that serves the same. We dined here about 3 weeks ago and I haven't stopped thinking about this meal. My husband and I went to celebrate our anniversary. From entering to exiting, the team crafted a special experience for us. I did not eat any of the raw food this time- every cooked item we ordered was sensational. Creative flavor combinations and updated Peruvian classics. I can't recommend this restaurant enough, I really look forward to going back.
