Matthews Martial Arts was spectacular from the minute we walked in the doors. They made us feel welcome and invited. The coaches were exceptional for my son's first class through present day. My son joined in March '21, and I followed him a year later. Everyone that works there makes you feel like family and are genuine. They help teach my son discipline, respect, and most importantly self confidence. It is something my son enjoys doing at home with me and I know it could not have been possible without this amazing staff. Sigung Dustin and Sifu Miranda are the real deal. They will work with ANYONE and will make you feel valued no matter what age. We have found our second home!

This place is amazing! The staff is amazing! They were and are detrimental to aiding in my daughter's positive self esteem. This instructing, is in my family's opinion, exactly what children and adults need today, a place where praise and rewards aren't handed to you. This place is perfect for learning and knowing that it's okay to not be the best, and that it's awesome and great to cheer on your teammates. As for the negative review on here...the world is tough, not everyone will treat your child the special way you want them treated, but here at Mathews they will be treated with respect, with care. If it's coddling someone's looking for, then this isn't the place. If it's team work and pride in one's actual accomplishments 💪 then this is the place for you.

Wonderful environment. Everyone is family friendly and helpful. My youngest loves his classes and hates when he has to miss one. If I could take him every day of the week I would! They have numerous events as well, for all ages. It's great!

My kids and I trained here for the year we lived in Odessa, and I could not have dreamed up a better dojo experience. The owners, Dustin and Meranda, are some of the most inspiring and caring people you’ll ever meet, in addition to being world record holders in their fighting styles. Their staff make every training session fun and challenging, and they focus on character building above all else. We miss this place so much since we moved a couple months ago!

Matthews Martial Arts is the BEST in Odessa. They take the time to teach each student and never give up on them. The students are learning so much more than martial arts, they are learning life skills. This is truly a great place for your kid to start their journey into martial arts. Daygan is especially helpful and loves engaging with every kid and ensuring they are staying focused and determined to excel.

Great instructors, you can always see a smile on kids faces whenever they are in class. They make it fun for the students and have great activities for them. 🙂

Honestly some of the greatest people I've met! Down to the way they teach you on the mat or shake your hand in public. They have created an environment that has instantly make you feel apart of their family.
