The place is just amazing! The food makes you happy, we had the Miso and the Matsui ramen and let me tell you that is the best ramen we ever had! I’m not a big fan of sushi but my husband is, he ordered the Mango tango one and I have to say it was delicious. The service is outstanding, even if it is crowded they make you feel welcome and valued. Our favorite Ramen place! 🤤🥹

Servers took well over 10 minutes to ask us for our order and they were just huddled around having a conversation while we waited for them. When we received our ramen the noodles weren’t fully cooked and the spicy ramen wasn’t spicy at all. Was looking forward to dining here after seeing the reviews but we left very dissatisfied.

The environment is so nice and the service is wonderful. For appetizers definitely get the Pork Buns. The Miso Ramen has pork in it with a creamy broth and it is very flavorful. Today I had the Volcano Ramen, one of their newer dishes, and man is it spicy. Please only get it if your spice tolerance is high. I eat spicy foods 80% of the time but this is really spicy. This is the type of spice that stings your lips. Also try their sushi too, just know their food here is very flavorful.

Incredible 😍 Everything here was amazing 😍 The service was swift and pleasant. Bulgogi buns were perfection. The buns were so soft and fluffy, and the flavor of the bulgogi was lovely. Sushi rolls were really good, especially the bulgogi roll, spicy salmon roll & spicy yellowtail roll. The spicy miso ramen broth had a great flavor, and the noodles were cooked just right. Would definitely recommend and am excited to return soon.

Love this local Japanese restaurant. The staff are very friendly, hardworking, and appreciative of your patronage. The Chirashi Don is one of my favorites. Although the price increased, it's still my go to dish here. The gyoza are a fan favorite for my kids along with their bowl of shoyu ramen for $14. Add a soft shell crab roll and we have a hearty dinner for 4!

Great atmosphere and service. Pretty decent sushi but don't come here for the ramen. They don't know how to bring out the flavors in the broth and it comes out as chemical tasting for the spicy and dirty dishwater for the shoyu.

Matsui was highly recommended yet it was not the finest sushi experience I ever had. Customer service on our first visit varied depending on who was serving us. The male server who brought our appetizer was very courteous and friendly and corrected an error made by the server who took our orders. My husband was not thrilled at the tough texture of his chicken in his meal and didn’t like how the female server disregarded me and did not put in the order for my appetizer but she did for his appetizer. He didn’t like it when we were not asked if we wanted a refill of our drinks. He does not want to come back to Matsui and would prefer Chinese takeout from another establishment. He also thought Matsui was overpriced compared to the many Japanese restaurants we went to - with better service and food. Regardless of the treatment and his complaints, he did give a 20% tip and kept his complaints private. I liked my sushi and how efficient the sushi chefs were. The servers were polite. One of them was forgetful but it didn’t bother me. As for my husband’s complaints and his complaint of how I was treated by a server, it didn’t upset me, and she was not rude to me - just forgetful. I told him that I didn’t take it personally and that when he isn’t around me females are not very nice to me or just very rude out of pettiness ( at least the servers were polite at Matsui). I was going to give it 3.7 stars and round it off to 4 stars. Yet, due to his complaints and refusal to ever go back to Matsui, I lowered my rating to 3 stars. I have to consider his opinions and thoughts. His views matter to me deeply, even though, I had no complaints except that my husband was unhappy with the food & service and that the server forgot to put in my appetizer order and other things I requested.

I get takeout here at least once every week, and I love to dine in her. The service is amazing; friendly, quick, and you can tell they love what they do. Food is phenomenal, and if I could eat here everyday for the rest of my life, I'd die a very happy woman. Everything about Matsui is just wonderful, and I hope you'll open your heart up to it as I have.
