A small, peaceful forest preserve connected to 1.3 mile loop throughout a large park. It makes for a nice walk, rollerblade or casual bike ride.
Wonderful community park. This park is managed by the Plainfield park district and is lovely to explore or walk around for a few hours. The main path is not paved so the loop can be muddy if it just rained, but there is a paved path that you can still enjoy walking on! It’s on the smaller side compared to other parks. The park does however have multiple openings though neighborhoods so if you live in the area it’s super accessible. Gorgeous on a summer day and quiet in the winter. The park closes at dusk and the trails are quiet because most people are not out on them.
Nice park close to home. There are some paved trails and then some grassy trails. There are also 3 picnic areas and bathrooms. It does get muddy though so bring some hiking boots. Everytime I go here though, the bugs get me. Bring bug spray and sunglasses to keep the flies out of your eyes.
It's a peaceful walk, and fairly clean. You'll find the occasional piece of litter scattered about, but it seems like someone comes through every so often. There's a fair variety of mushrooms and plants to see, as well, though I've never run into any animal larger than a squirrel. Be careful on the minicliff path by the scenic bend in the southwestern part of the creek. There's part of the path that's built of branches, and there seems to be a hornet nest built in that part. Do not disturb the branches.
Very peaceful and beautiful. Seems like it isn't a very busy trail. There is a paved trail and natural terrain paths, there's also restrooms at start of trail and 3 pavilions near there. Not as much shade as other trails

Great paths to walk/ hike. Beautiful place and a wonderful place to take pictures as well. Excited to do a few more hikes here and explore more!

A great place to bird watch, even if the Rookery is closed March-August and best of all, it is all paved (unless you go off-trail)! You're still able to walk to the viewing path during special events outside of nesting season. This is not an asphalt
Great private oasis. A nice park with swings, slides, monkey bars, plus plenty of other equipment to climb in, on, and under. There is a playground area up front by the parking lot and a much larger one in back between the meadow and woods. There
James and Derek were absolutely phenomenal. We come once a year for the last few years and everytime we have such a blast. We will be making an effort to come more often!
Love this local spot! Staff is always welcoming and willing to talk coffee. Chill vibe with bags of beans always available to go. This French Toast latte is an absolute perfect liquid!!

One of the best FLGS I've been to. It's way bigger on the inside, has rooms for gamers to rent, and their gently used games clearance is the best. Found many an OOP game on my wishlist here. Always super friendly and helpful
Birdwatching, walking, bike riding... Whatever you're into, you will not be disappointed. Amazingly beautiful scenery at this place that feel like you're on vacation when you're here. Depending on when you go, you will see lots of people taking pic

Course in excellent condition. Reasonably priced food/drinks. Greens fees also very well-priced and pro shop offering a wide variety of products. Can sometimes be busy but that's to be expected.
