We recently used Matco to install an additional HVAC unit in our office warehouse building. They were prompt and thorough when responding with an estimate. They communicated with us and coordinated with other trades smoothly. The project was done on time, as promised. I would highly recommend them.
I had a disappointing experience with Matco HVAC (JoAnna one of their customer service supervisor. Not the first time.), which started when I chose them because they were the HVAC company my builder used. I thought it would be a good idea to stay consistent and signed up for a maintenance agreement plan with them around 2021-2022.
In 2022, I requested a maintenance visit, and while the technician who came out was very polite and informed me that my house was still new, he suggested that I didn’t need to use one of my maintenance appointments just yet. Fast forward to 2024, I reached out to Matco to schedule a maintenance appointment and was informed that I would have to pay additional fees because their maintenance package prices had increased.
I was not happy with this as the agreement I signed up for was at a set price, and I expected it to be honored. If prices were going to change, it defeats the purpose of booking a maintenance package in advance. When I expressed my confusion and disappointment, the representative told me that I should’ve used my appointment sooner.
At that point, I requested a refund and decided not to do business with Matco HVAC again. I’ve received much better customer service elsewhere and will be taking my business to Berkeys in the future.
I learned very quickly that not all AC companies are created equal. I was highly impressed with how knowledgeable and professional Matco's employees were. All my questions and concerns were addressed efficiently and I felt I left with a more comprehensive understanding of how my unit worked. I highly recommend this company for all your air conditioning needs.
Honest!!!!!!!!!!! Amazing!!!!! 🥇🏆 Listen y’all, Richie with Matco was amazing!!!! We have had to deal with lots of a/c companies over the years with owning rentals and let’s be honest, lots of them tack on charges and fix problems that might not be there. Well not these folks. Richy was so honest with everything he did, and I just can’t express how refreshing it was when we came to pay our bill and us actually being shocked with the price but like in the best way, because it was so affordable 😃🎉. When you run across a good, honest, companies with quality workers like Richie, you have to share it! Picking a A/C company is tough, and our searching days are over, these are our people now! We look forward to years of working with them for all things maintenance and a/c 😊 thanks Richie, you did amazing! Thanks for the great experience and honesty!

I had my AC systems serviced about 2 years ago. The tech was very knowledgeable and got my systems running great.
This past winter one of my gas furnaces stopped working. It was a Sunday and I did not want to bother a technician if not needed so I tried to diagnose the issue and replaced the flame sensor and ignitor. Didn't work. I called Matco and they sent out a tech. He checked the same things and determined the control board was bad. As he was finishing up the owner shows up at my home (also the techs Dad, so probably just checking up on him). The owner, Matt, then tries to talk me into considering replacing the whole unit because it is old. At this point we don't know if the board will fix it or not. The board was $97 from Amazon. Why would I replace my HVAC unit and spend thousands of dollars when all I needed was a $97 board??? Matt left a really bad taste in my mouth. Literally. He does not care about me and what is best for me(he actually told me what is best for him is not best for me). Here is an idea... let's try the $97 board first before replacing the entire unit? Don't come to my house, see the yellow Supra in the driveway (company car, not mine) and try to talk to me like I have thousands of dollars burning a hole in my wallet. I want a company that will do everything possible to keep my current system running. Replacement should be the very last option, not a discussion point. Also, learn to read the room! In talking with me, you learned that I am a DIYer and the room next to us was unfinished and in the middle of a paint project. You think someone who does their own projects/repairs will just replace their HVAC because it's better for YOU!?! I will no longer use Matco for my HVAC needs. If you can avoid the salesman/owner, the techs are great.
EDIT: There you have it folks. Matco wants to sell you units you don't need, just because they are old. Also, the unit that was serviced was for the gas heat. Nothing to do with AC. So why buy a new HVAC based on the refrigerant type in winter when it is not in use??? Also, the unit that was serviced is newer and runs on 410a. The R22 unit is for the downstairs and works just fine.
Cryo1one appreciates the quick response of Matco. We operate a business that runs 363 days a year, and on Sunday we walked into one of our locations and the AC was not working. One call to Matco and they had our commercial AC back up and working the same day.
I have been a customer for 22 years with Matco Services and they have kept my 25-year old HVAC system running that whole time with visits in the Spring and visits in the Autumn to make sure it was well-tuned. It impressed me that they would always attempt to prolong the life of a very expensive essential need in our homes rather than pushing to sell a new appliance. When my system finally decided it was time to say goodbye a few weeks ago, Matco gave me options, prices and recommendations and made the replacement seamless. From Michael Hollman explaining the whole process and answering my long list of questions, to G1, G2, Santiago and Jackson working so hard to make sure my house is back to normal, I cannot say enough good things about this company. Whether it is for replacement, or to make your existing equipment last longer, I wholeheartedly recommend Matco.
I had a problem with my heat not coming on. I called Matco and they were able to send someone out that day. The service man Santiago Salina came and he checked out the system. He was able to pin point the problem. It was the fan motor and he was able to get it to work by switching some wires but recommended I get a new motor because he couldn't say how long the motor that would last and being the winter is coming I decided to replace it. He checked on the price for me which I was OK with. So he got it order and within the week I was getting it done. Santiago is old school and will not do something unless he does it right. A bit on the pricey end compared to other places, especially for the food. But good food over all taste and quality wise.
