One of our go-to places to eat. The food is only eclipsed by the excellent staff and friendly people you'll find here. Try the egg cream, its to die for!

Massapequa Diner, Jan 11, 2024 Ordered the burger medium rare, came to me nearly well done. No biggie, asked for another one, and cheerfully got another one. The burger meat, the fries, and the bun, were nothing special to get excited about. There’s was nothing wrong with burger, at all, it is just at the low end of the burger hierarchy. And, at $17, it is definitely not worth it, in my eyes. It was barely bigger than a McDonalds burger, and they need to up the quality of the fries The service was really good, as they are very efficient, and fast. The place was busy at lunch when I was there meeting someone. There seemed to be an efficiency of movement there, from the Manager , waiter, and hostess. My lunch partner ordered a Grill Cheese, but asked to customize it with grilled onions, and tomato, on toasted marble rye….. Without missing a beat, the waiter said, “sure, no problem.” They said it was awesome. I personally would not order the burger again, if I ever retuned, there, but I would have no qualms about eating some of the other sandwiches they have on the menu... People have shared with me that their Grilled Cheese . with short ribs is great!! There's plenty of parking there, and a good place to meet people.

"We have been enjoying the Massapequa Diner for over 20 years, their food is always amazing and the warm hospitality of their staff and owners. We have dined at the diner for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and we truly appreciate the benefits of supporting a local business. Although we should have written this review earlier, it took the loss of my wallet to make us realize how grateful we are for the diner's honesty and integrity. Yesterday, my husband and I had lunch at the diner, but later that night, I discovered that I had misplaced my wallet. Today, I received a phone call from Mike, the owner, informing me that someone on his staff had found my wallet. Nick held my wallet in his office to ensure its safety until I arrived. I was relieved to find that everything was untouched and still inside. We cannot thank the staff and owners of the Massapequa Diner enough for their honesty and kindness. We will continue to be loyal customers of this wonderful establishment."

We came here for breakfast and it was so good. The crab benedict was the best benedict I have ever had. The pastrami hash was also very tasty. The coffee was great and the staff never let me finish a cup before refilling it. Highly recommend this place and will definitely be back!

My friend and I and son couldn’t decide on what diner to pick, so we decided to try this diner and so happy we did. The food was absolutely delicious! They serve the best pasta salad for starters . We also were so pleased on how our waitress Sondra was so friendly, and was always there if we needed anything. Its nice to know there are good people out there that take there job seriously and make a difference. We will definitely be stopping by again 😃

As a first time customer, it’ll be my last. We waited about 5 minutes to get a table, but waited about 30 minutes to get our food. We finally get a “waiter” who only came to our table to get our order & to give us our order. Which was incorrect. She never came back to ask if everything came out good, or if we were in need of something. I walked over to the manager and informed him our orders were incorrect, which he said he’d happily take care of it. At this point we get our food semi incorrectly still. Again, no one comes to our table to check in on us, however the waiter is making her rounds to other tables to happily ask if anything is needed. At checkout I expressed to the manager on how poor the customer service was, and he did NOT EVEN ACKNOWLEDGE THAT. A SIMPLE IM SORRY WOULD’VE BEEN NICE. Treating certain customers based of how they look is very unprofessional, considering that half of the workers looked just like me. Please save your time and money and avoid coming here.

My recent visit to the Massapequa Diner unfolded as an unfortunate tale of two meals, each marked by its own set of disappointments that collectively left me with no desire to return to this establishment. Firstly, for lunch, my partner and I decided to give the diner a chance, opting for takeout. I ordered a grilled vegetable wrap with grilled chicken, while my partner selected an omelette with home fries. Our order was collected on time, but what we encountered was far from appetizing. The home fries and normal fries arrived exceedingly soggy and unappetizing, while my vegetable wrap was disappointingly wet and saturated with excess oil. The greens within the wrap appeared far from fresh, and the overall taste left much to be desired. The evening, however, escalated the dissatisfaction to an entirely new level. Returning for dinner with two additional guests around 9pm, we had the misfortune of encountering the same waiter from a prior visit, whose service had previously left me without a meal. I had to watch everyone else finish their meals while I waited for mine due to him messing up my order two times. Hoping for a better experience, we placed our orders. This time, one aspect of the order was incorrect, with regular fries instead of the requested sweet potato fries. While this was an annoyance, we chose to overlook it. I rather a small mistake like that over someone not getting their entire meal. The true low point of the evening occurred when both my friend and I discovered that our forks were covered in a thick coating of food residue on the bottom part of the handles, and the fork's base was unclean as well. Politely bringing this unsanitary matter to our waiter's attention, his response was far from satisfactory. He simply wiped the forks with napkins taken from an empty table and returned them to us, displaying an evident lack of concern for hygiene. His demeanor suggested annoyance at our request for new silverware. Throughout our stay, he only checked on us once, and the waiter who refilled our drinks appeared visibly irritated as well. Now, to address the food itself—the heart of any dining experience. I ordered cheeseburger sliders, a choice that quickly revealed itself as regrettable. The bread was hard and aged to the point of being inedible, while the burger patty itself was dry and devoid of flavor. Regrettably, the rest of our meal was no exception. The French toast bites suffered from stale bread, the Buffalo chicken grilled cheese was dry and unappetizing, and the nachos were, at best, passable. Beyond the culinary woes, the overall ambiance was marked by discomfort and irritation. I found myself questioning the sanitation standards of the kitchen, given the unclean silverware incident that was inadequately addressed. In light of these regrettable experiences, I cannot recommend a return visit to the Massapequa Diner. There are certainly other dining establishments in the area that offer higher quality fare, attentive staff, and a more pleasant dining environment at a similar price point. My hope is that this review serves as constructive feedback for the improvement of the diner's offerings and service standards.

Went in here on Sunday for a simple burger. The staff was very welcoming and made me feel right at home . Diner burgers are the best. I never want to go to a chain food store again. It just doesn't match the quality
