Mason Dixon made our wedding cake last year, and when I called last month to order a couple cupcakes for our anniversary, they informed me that they'd make us a 6-inch cake for free! Apparently it's just something they do, which I found pretty neat.
When we picked it up, we also had lunch while we were there. The new location is really nice, much bigger and brighter. The tea was God awful, but when I went to the front and asked for some milk to put in it, the young lady behind the counter poured me up a glass, free of charge.
I got the caprese grilled cheese, which was freakin' delicious, and my husband got a burger (I think? It's been almost two weeks.) Food was excellent, service as well--just avoid the tea 🤣
Love having a bakery in town that offers gluten free baked goods and food! My husband has Celiacs so I totally understand the struggle of making GF baked goods. We tried the fried chicken sandwiches, London fog latte, lemon cupcakes, apple carrot muffins and the caramel brownies. Everything was tasty, but of the sweets the caramel brownies are the best! The latte was good, and the fried chicken sandwiches were very tasty! The buns are a bit tough/dense but again, that’s gluten free breads in general. We will be back to try more!
Normally I would talk about how delicious their gluten-free food was, but thats not the case here. I just have to talk about how delicious the food is all around, I would put their GF meals up against what all you wheat eaters are having. I was so excited I ordered 2 sandwiches and a cinnamon roll and was not disappointed. The caprese grilled cheese was fantastic, and the apple brie chicken sandwich was top-notch. I am normally not a sweet eater, but the cinnamon roll brought a tear to my eye. It was better than what i have had before my celiac activated.
GF or not, I would recommend eating here.
If you're gluten intollerant, this is the place to go. I'm lucky enough to not have this issue, but my daughter does. The baked goods they have here are every bit as good - if not better - than their glutenous counterparts. Excellent food and service. Only wish it was a little loser to home.
A very nice bakery with pleasant staff! I purchase my bread from here, Cranberry Walnut, Maple Cinnamon Raisin and Garlic and Herb (all vegan). I have tried the vegan biscuits and they were a bit too dry for my liking, but the apple carrot cake is tasty!
GREAT BAKERY, BAD RESTAURANT
Mason Dixon is a really great bakery option for people with gluten allergies. Their baked goods taste good and they have a ton of options. The food however is AWFUL. I’ve tried it multiple times and it just doesn’t get better. Very expensive for what you’re getting as well.
The bistro/restaurant part of this establishment is the problem. The food is just not good. Simple as that. It seems like someone opened up a bakery then threw a bistro in there without really knowing how to cook or run a restaurant. It just feels over ambitious.
I took the time to write this review because I sympathize for people with gluten allergies and I think they deserve better. If you have a gluten allergy and want a cupcake/cake/cookie etc., then this is the place for you. If you are looking for a meal then you will be let down, or will be lying to yourself that this place has good food, only because you have limited options to begin with.
It’s rare to find an eatery dedicated to safe, gluten free, eating. That’s why I’m intrigued by Mason Dixon Bakery’s offerings. I’ve enjoyed several treats from here including their chocolate chip cooked and their delicious cup cakes. This morning I tried the breakfast sandwich which you can get on various breads (gluten free, dairy free, or paleo friendly) or a gluten free biscuit. Thumbs up! The sandwich was delicious. My chocolate chip cookie was a bit dry but not unacceptable. Gluten free is hard to perfect. It was still good especially after getting home and warming it up a bit. I also had a cranberry scone which was served warm. Overall a great place to get a gluten free treat if you’re on their side of town.
Wonderful little place!! The staff were generous and lovely. The inside is absolutely stunning I almost wanted to do an impromptu photoshoot inside! The food though oh my goodness!! Is it a bit on the higher price side? A little. Is it worth it? YES! I ordered the Avocado Toast with Smoked Salmon on top and my friend got the Chicken and Rice Bowl. We both ordered iced lattes which their new cookie butter one is delicious! Its not overwhelmingly sweet and has little bits of cookie in it! 1000% would come back!

All the good things said about this place are true! I got the Fire In The Hole burger. My burger was delicious and cooked perfectly. Also, it's HUGE! None of the pictures do them justice on just how big they are. You definitely get what you pay for.
A must for any history enthusiast. The museum has lots of very high-quality pieces from a variety of nations and is well kept by knowledgeable staff. Their restored vehicles look amazing. This place is clearly ran by people who care. $5 donation for
I ordered a shot of espresso (Brazil medium roast) and a golden latte. The espresso has a really good aroma with a little bit of acidity. The golden latte was not too sweet and had a smooth after taste. All employees were friendly and made customer c
This is a great hotel. The rooms and common areas are well kept, the beds are comfy, and they give you a good assortment of pillows, so you're bound to have one you like. The evening food is more than just snacks; it can be a full dinner for sure.
I've been here to drink a few times and it's always a good time. I went the other night to try the pizza and I'm blown away. I was expecting to like it, hoping to love it and thankfully I loved it! One of the best wood fired pizzas I've ever had. All
First time visiting and I loved this place. The cigar room is enclosed so it didn't smell like cigar smoke. Very cute chill atmosphere. Bartender made great drinks.
