Mason Beach Inn - Hotel in Santa Barbara - 324 W Mason St, USA

Mason Beach Inn is a lovely hotel, ideally situated near West Beach and the Santa Barbara harbor. It's on a quiet "residential" street (Mason Street) populated by other hotels and private residences but my cursory survey of the area revealed that Mason Beach Inn was the nicest in the neighborhood. The classic white with terra cotta tile roof aesthetic is a pretty example of California-Mediterranean style architecture that abounds in the area, and the recent renovation makes it feel modern and fresh. While it is not trying to be a five-star luxury hotel, Mason Beach Inn provides just enough style and friendly hospitality to make you feel like you're staying somewhere fancier. ||The pretty lap pool (which ranges in depth from three-feet to five feet in the middle) and surrounding deck is nicely appointed with comfortable blue loungers and crisp white towels. ||The staff was great, very friendly and accommodating. They even went the extra mile calling me one day to alert me that my car door was open. Even though I was enjoying a blissful afternoon at East Beach and was incredibly startled that someone was attempting to break into my car, the hotel called back a few minutes later apologizing about the false alarm. They checked on my car and confirmed it was fine. It was a different BMW that the child of a family just checking in forgot to close the passenger door. It felt good to know that the front desk was watching out for the guests cars in the parking lot. ||I definitely highly recommend this hotel and will look forward to staying there again the next time I go to Santa Barbara!

We recently stayed at this hotel for one night and had an excellent experience. The convenience started with a link for online check-in, which made the process smooth and hassle-free. When we arrived to leave our luggage, the staff at the reception were incredibly friendly and helpful. Noticing we were traveling with a baby, they kindly allowed us to check in earlier than scheduled, which was greatly appreciated. Throughout our stay, the staff remained consistently helpful and pleasant. The hotel itself is small but ideally located just a five-minute walk from the beach, perfect for a quick getaway. It has been recently renovated, and our room was both spacious and clean. One standout feature was the availability of drinks and fruit at the reception 24/7, all at no extra charge, along with a welcome drink from a selection of canned beverages. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and accommodating place near the beach.

We only used as a stopover but is fantastic location with good parking. Friendly staff and clean room. The pool area looked nice although we didn’t get time to use it. Would have been happy to have stayed for longer in Santa Barbara. Hopefully we will be back!

The location is very good as you cand get to the beach easily. Really comfortable beds and linens, fluffy pillows and had the best sleep ever. The pool was very nice too and very warm. We also enjoyed complementary drinks upon our arrival and my kid had a scrumptious cookie.|The cleaning staff were very nice.

This is a marvelous hotel with an upscale feel to it that is a block from the beach and the harbor restaurants. It is quiet at night on a neighborhood street. The reception area and the rooms are cozy and well done. The pool area has several covered tables and chairs to sit outside and read or visit with your companions. Several excellent restaurants are a five minute walk away on Cabrillo. The staff is super friendly and even pop out to open the door for you when you are carrying something! They have free coffee and delicious cookies available all day. They don't serve breakfast but we went to Jeanines on Cabrillo and it was fast and delicious. They have a daily fee for parking but in the two times I've stayed here there were options to get it waived - to stay for three days the first visit and the second time to advertise your experience on social media - so check it out and see if you can avoid it. Although it has an upscale, posh, feel I found it very affordable during the week nights.

Stayed 2 night. Pool was fun, clean and so many towels. Never a shortage. The staff is kind and helpful. The freshly baked cookies,fresh fruit and coffee bar is a nice touch. Close walk to the water, pier and restaurants. The room was clean, with modern touches.

Just stayed here last night and had a great experience. The room was clean, with modern touches and a very comfortable bed. Check-in was easy, the woman at the counter was very nice and gave me a great dinner recommendation. The free welcome drink was a great touch too. Parking was easy and a reasonable price ($14 per day).

Mason Beach Inn is a cute boutique hotel located right down the street from the beach and within walking distance of everything you can ever want. The room and premises were immaculate and front desk staff were very cheerful and outgoing. Tommy Bahama bath amenities instantly transports you to the beach. At check-in, you are offered complimentary wine or beer and a little display of cookies which was a nice touch after a long drive. Walking to my room on the 2nd floor, I was blown away by the subtle melon fragrance that permeated the hallways. Indoor hallways that actually smell this good is definitely something that I didn’t know I wanted in a hotel until coming here. Miguel & team runs the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Absolutely a 5 out of 5 experience. Highly recommend.
