Ma’s place is currently being renovated (8/2023) outside of business hours so the atmosphere is lacking. Hopefully the renovation brings an updated look and feel. Service was great. Food was good.

Straight-forward down-home diner with a simple menu and set-time specials offering a solid deal. Only issue was waitress brought me home fries when I ordered hash browns. Not enough to send it back but something simple. Food was exactly as expected. Nothing to write home about but filling and hits the spot. Interesting they have a separate bar in the back as well that was being put to good use.

Great place. The food was delicious and the service good despite being very busy. The portion sizes were good for the price. If I had to nitpick, I'd take issue with paying an extra .35¢ for an English muffin. Only complaints? The hours. 8a to 3p seems reserved. They could easily open earlier and stay open later, because the food is good enough that people would come to get it. The parking was a bit tight, but given the space I'm not sure how it could be fixed. Definitely gonna be going back. Worth every penny!

I do not recommend this place. My friend and I went there because we were told they had good wraps. It must be the only thing good. My friend ordered the deal that is given before 10am that includes eggs, bacon, pancakes, and hashbrowns. I asked for the same thing but wanted to substitute the eggs for fruit because I am allergic to eggs. I was told that they do not serve fruit but that she could give me frozen strawberries. I said that sounded great because I love frozen strawberries, they have the texture of sherbert. She said "we can't substitute anything on this deal." I said oh ok, well can I just get the eggs on a plate separate then so I can get the rest." Then the way she described what she was going to do sounded like taking a pancake off and putting the strawberries on but also keeping the eggs but on a separate plate. I said that would be great. I ordered a iced tea and my friend ordered a coffee. Well, the food came out. I got 2 pancakes and a strange looking strawberry stuff in a cup. Nothing else. My tea of course came. I said "oh well, I'm not fighting. I'm not one to send things back." I thought she may have microwaved my strawberries to melt them a bit which was ok. So I offered my friends 2 yr old daughter some strawberries. She seemed to love them. She had a few bites and then I took a bite. Turns out I was feeding her the strawberry syrup and strawberries you would find in the bottom of strawberry lemonade. My pancakes were burnt. And my iced tea tasted like I was sucking a teabag. My friends coffee was old and when she opened a creamer to put in it was curdled.

The place is easy to miss. Brutally honest here by saying it looks incredible outdated and a bit dumpy. But the food is absolutely tasty. Very good prices. Their hashbrowns are crispy on the outside and fluffy inside. The waffle has a very delicate wafer crunch and you can taste hints of vanilla. Really kind waitresses and excellent service. Might make this my go to spot for lunch on hangover Sundays.

I know several people who have lived in puyallup/south hill area for years that have completely missed this place. It's easy to miss unless you're scouring maps, or already know of it but that makes it a little special to me. It's packed on most days, mainly with seniors, regulars and large groups. The food is amazing, some of the best home style breakfast I've ever had. I go here about once a week if I can make it, and I love it every time. Good food, good prices. They are renovating at the time of this review so hopefully the atmosphere inside improves, but it's got a vibe to it that I find interesting, and that adds to the experience even if it's not fancy.

I've been going there for 17 plus years. I go there to visit friends I don't see much anymore since I moved out of town. Racheal the bartender is a very close long time friend, as is a lot of the regular customers. Service is always great. The good is great. I always feel at home there.
