NOT an Easy trail for beginners, more of moderate to hard so be warned! 🤣 We travel because we'd rather look back at life saying "I can't believe I did that..." instead of "If only I had". 🎈Mary Jane Falls Trail •Temp @ 76° •Elevation 7,706 ft •Distance 3.2 miles Roundtrip •Time 2.75 hrs Roundtrip •The most popular trail in Mt. Charleston. The 0.7 miles started as an easy-moderate hike on the rocky slight incline until you reach a fork. Keep right at the fork. Difficulty increases as you continue on the trail until the switchbacks. The remainder 0.9 miles is the 9 switchbacks. The final switchback is the steepest and longest, that leads you parallel across limestone rock faces to the base of the falls. Make sure to wear non-slip or good-tread shoes as it can get slippery on the boulders and loose rocks. 🎈At the end of the trail is an awesome view! In addition to the waterfalls there's also two small caves you can enjoy. The waterfall tends to be seasonal so spring is the best time to go, but the views are still worth it even if there's no water when you go.

Great moderate trail! I’ve seen people do this hike in flip-flops, which I would not necessarily recommend 😂 I’ve also seen pretty young kids on this hike! You can break the hike up into 2 segments, part one is about an 8th of a mile and then the switchbacks begin for another mile or so.the switchbacks get a little steep.

I've always really liked this hike. Yes, it's challenging when you get to the switchbacks. It gets steep, you just need to take frequent breaks. Depending on the time of year it can get pretty warm so again, take frequent breaks. Honestly the best time of year for this hike is Spring when there is the most water from the snow run off. Summer is usually pretty dry unless there has been some rain. I do like that this trail has a lot of shade unlike some others.

Took the puperoni up with me. About 1.7 miles up and then 1.9miles back. Trail seemed to continue on more but we turned around at the first sighting of falls. Perched up beneath the falls out of the way. Brought my mini camp chair and a few snacks, just hung out for a few hours. Pack in, pack out what you brought and a little more if you see anything left behind. Tried to pick up trash others left behind on my way back down the mountain best I could. Bring binoculars! Great views. Wear sunscreen! Went up there in 70-80 degree weather and burnt my shoulders. Definitely will do it again!

Well,Sunday 21 of May ! Nice trail, nice walk under 2 h go and back ! But if you’re not in good shape you will need more time ! It’s a lot of switchbacks,be prep ! Awesome view to the top and check also the Cave on the side of the waterfall!65C weather

Beautiful hike and not too challenging. The waterfall was nice and cold. Perfect after a hot hike.

Great destination hike. Falls can be minimal at times, but the trail along the way is a beautiful worthwhile climb. Please be respectful and enjoy the creation 😊👍🌎

This place is a tad overrated. Its gravel pretty much the whole way. It’s barely wide enough to pass people going wither direction. Some parts are slippery and overall the trail isn’t maintained well enough for how much traffic it gets. Even the waterfall itself is a little underwhelming. It doesn’t really form a pool and it immediately disappears down the mountain. There’s not many places to sit and take a break. This place feels a little neglected.

This is an amazing hike. The views are stunning on this hike, especially at the top. The hike itself isn’t too long, although there is lots of elevation gain. If it is hot in Las Vegas, it will be cooler here. There are also a few very big pine tre

Beautiful hike, Normally the creek is dry and there is no water at the Waterfall, but this year it was still plenty water and snow cave in the middle of the summer. You can do traditional hiking or you can do rappelling down the Waterfall, like

We initially booked a third floor room with a balcony, as we were so excited to be in the mountains with a balcony! When we arrived, I asked the front desk clerk if the hotel had an elevator and was surprised to find out they did not. To be fair, t
