Steam Days are held once a month. Ride a standby steamer car and a small steam train. Really nice small museum, beautiful grounds. A nice day out.
Very cool place. Working, driving, registered 110+ year old cars. Model railroads. Beautiful mansion. Food. Fun. Miniature railroads both diesel and steam with seats for adults!
Participated in 2021 Auburn Heights invitational car event at Marshall Steam Museum. Susan and Allison were the hostesses and organizers, and ran an exceptional event. Wonderful day at a destination museum.
Visited with the family for "Steamin' Days" and had a great time. Everyone loved riding on the cars and trains. The recently renovated museum has a unique collection of vehicles and the staff is engaging and knowledgeable. Can't wait to visit again.
I took my mom for a day out. Saw some beautiful cars plus one all original that they're not planning on restoring (I'm glad for that as it's only original once). They have a few non-steam powered cars as well. Their model train sets are nice. The antique clothes add a little to the experience. Sadly they don't do the train rides or offer rides in their cars during the week. Hopefully we can go again and ride in the cars and on the train.
The upcoming exhibit promises to be beautiful and fashionable! An amazing collection of Stanley Steamer vehicles and lovely fashions on loan from many museums/ collections around Delaware. A must visit when in New Castle County, Delaware. Wonderful summer camps. Beautiful architecture, park, and landscape.
We really enjoyed this hidden gem of a museum on steam cars. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly. This museum is definitely worth the visit as well as the Auburn mansion tour.
Even though my wife and I didn't get here in time for the House museum tour, we still had a great time getting a tour of the car museum building by Allison(?). This is a great place to visit and Allison was very informative about the steam, gas and electric cars. We will definitely be back again for the full tour of the place....
