James from information told me this place has his favorite burger.
It’s really good! Location is in the middle of the market right next just about everything fun to do in downtown Seattle. Enjoy!
The place don’t look good. The service it’s minimum. But the food we try was really good. I eat the benefits and it’s coked perfect. The Holland sauce was delicious. My wife eat the omelette and was good too. So I recommend this place to a fast breakfast or brunch, don’t spect an a fancy place. Just come eat and go. We will Back.
Food is absolutely delicious!!!! My husband had the chicken club sandwich, and he said it was one of the best he’s had. I got the seafood combo, very tasty and the variety was good. Was skeptical by the vibe of the restaurant, but the service was amazing and quick. Their clam chowder is some of the best I’ve had. Most definitely recommend this to anyone who is looking for a great meal at a good price.
Very basic diner set up. Service was a speedy enough. The food was great though. I had the Cheeseburger and it was delicious! The fries were amazing too.
Wherever I go I'm always searching for hidden little gems/unassuming places because you know you're almost always guaranteed a great meal at an affordable price. So I was really looking forward to breakfast at Market Diner.
It's your typical greasy spoon diner tucked away in an old building across from the main market @ Pike Place.
The service was polite & friendly.
The menus have definitely seen better days. They have pretty basic standard diner fare except they have Crab Eggs Benedict & I confirmed the Crab was real (not imitation) & apparently fresh. So that had to happen.
We also ordered a Grilled Chicken Sandwich w/Fries, The Philly Cheesesteak w/salad, two coffees & a Peanut Butter Milkshake.
The Benedict was okay. There was a good portion of Crab but it did not taste fresh. It tasted & looked canned. It was also cold. The hashbrowns kind of tasted like it was cooked in old oil & not on a high enough heat as they were very greasy. You could definitely taste the oil.
The other items I think were better. The others in the party enjoyed them & the portions were hearty. The fries were the same as the hashbrowns though, while crispy they were oil logged.
Coffee was standard & the milkshake tasted like a Reese Peanut Butter Cup.
Overall I'm glad I got to try this place, but with a bill at about $80 after tax & tip, I don't think I'd go out of my way to come here again.

This is a really nice basic diner. The food isn't overthought. Portion sizes are enough to fill you up without leaving you feeling bloated and the prices match that. Staff also generally leaves you alone while eating which sounds like a complaint but it's actually super refreshing as an introvert. Really enjoyed the experience of just being able to walk in, order a fresh, basic meal, and just eat.
Small nofrills diner with amazing food. Get the Kobe burger and onion rings!! Your mouth will thank me.
Really mediocre. Service was minimal. Food was not bad but nothing “good” either. We shared a Caesar salad and clam chowder - both some of the most bland dishes I’ve had at a restarting to be honest.
Honestly, we chose this place because it was quite empty and we just needed a place to have a timely meal while sitting… At this pricing, use your money on something better - so many places right on the same block and in the market. Definitely wouldn’t go back.
This place is so great! They are always adding new items to the menu to keep things fun and exciting! A1 service and the food just keeps getting better and better! Food is incredible. Always look forward to coming here. Tons of spicy food on the menu

What a lovely little spot. Everything we ate was delicious. We tried the focaccia, the burrata, the mushroom bao, the gnocchi, and the ribs. Everything was absolutely excellent. I especially recommend the gnocchi and ribs. Service was tops too. Excit
Outstanding! Great service and food in a laid back atmosphere. Meals were more family style. Everything was delicious! Came here from out of town to meet a local friend who loves this place. If the locals love it, you know it has to be good. They e
The coffee here is great. I donât know about the science behind it, but I felt good after having their mushroom latte with oat milk and drip coffee. The decorations are really cool too and there is lots of seating and even outdoor seating in the co
Food is beautiful. Staff is beyond excellent. Atmosphere is a tad too loud. We had the brioche as a starter..two pasta dishes cooked perfectly and finished with Pear Bread Puddingâexcellent. Love that they brought 2 Cabernets to try! Eat here!
Stopped by here today to get a fresh fish bowl. The owner cashed me out and he was so nice and lovely to talk to. The food was delicious and fresh.. I got so much fresh fish for the price ($17.50ish, i got the chef's special). I was surprised with ho
Needed some quick takeout for lunch today so stopped into Taproot for the first time. They had a hot italian sandwich on the specials menu so I ordered that and the woman told me it would be about 10 minutes so I went for a short walk and came back a

My wife and I came here by accident. We were both very pleasantly surprised by the taste of real coffee. But the main thing is a pleasant atmosphere, unobtrusive quiet music, a cultured audience and very friendly staff. A small coffee shop with a big
