MARKET BY THE BAY! - Seafood market in Daphne - 29145 US-98, USA

If you haven’t tried this place you are missing out. Hubs said it was the best poboy he’s ever had (he tries them everywhere we go). I had fried shrimp with fries and fried okra. The shrimp was so tender, cooked perfectly! Cocktails were spot on, bartender has skills. Our server, Jenny, was perfect 👍🏻 made it such a pleasant experience. We will definitely return!!!

Been a customer for years, but we left alabama due to work and just got to come back. First thing I did was go down and a a quart of gumbo. That lovely life affirming goodness. Apparently we got the dregs... the pro e had gone way up.. which would have been fine if it stayed they way it was. But look at the picture Its all brown broth a few pieces of okra and three ..yes count them 3 Canned small shrimp. Shame on yall. Customer service was good but that's about it.

I found this place from google map. Unfortunately I have to take one star away. The crab claws doesn’t taste better than shrimps, although one has to add $10 if select combo. Other than that, all seems doing as expected.

It’s my first time in Alabama and I wanted some good ole local food and found this place on the map. I must say, I’m a Charleston, SC native and I’ve had a lot of seafood, but this Blue Crab Biscuit was nothing short of amazing. It came out perfectly cooked and very structured but not hard or crumbly in the slightest. The crab meat was to die for and even though I’m just passing through Alabama on the way from Florida to Texas, if I ever venture back to the bay, I’ll be stopping here again. Last, but certainly not least, the waitress Kaylee was very nice and friendly. She gave me her honest opinion of what was good on the many and even some local advise of what makes a great gumbo different from a “good” one. All in all, perfect service and great tip because of it. 10 out of 10 and I’ll do it again!

My husband and I had a great experience! The wait staff were wonderful and on top of things. The food was a tad over salted for my tastes, but was cooked perfectly. I had the combo platter with shrimp and oysters. You get a lot for what you pay for. We enjoyed eating here and plan on coming back.

Market by the Bay: A local no-frills" seafood place with really nice people and delicious local seafood. Eat-in, or take out. They'll even bring your order to your car. The staff behind the counter are warm and friendly and will to help people who might have shrimp allergies. They do a monster business in take-out, or you can order at the counter and they'll bring your food over to your booth in the beautiful dining room. Prices are very reasonable and the deserts are really good!

Awesome food and great prices. I love the 1/2 poboy Gumbo combo. The potato salad is yummy. Great service. This place is one of our favorites.
