Very nice rooms, nice owners and safe place to stay.
Great people, great spirits, and very peaceful. Highly rated.
This hotel sits in a nice wooded scenic backdrop, and that's about all it has going for it. You get what you pay for....we had no choice when we pulled into town as all the hotels in the area were booked. They had crooked pictures screwed to the wall as decorations, the paint on the walls AND baseboards had been done quite a few times and was tacky. The middle cover on the bed was so "pilled" (little balls of fabric) from being washed 500 times, we thought it must have come from the Mark Twain era. The room smelled very musty. It was clean and no bugs (we checked very carefully). There were threads hanging from the outside cover from being washed so many times. There was no blow dryer and NOT EVEN AN ELECTRIC PLUG in the bathroom. The smoke detector was off the ceiling and sitting on the shelf just like one other person said 6 MONTHS AGO. The one staff member we met was pleasant and personable and wanted the money up front, of course. The landscaping out front was in complete disarray with plastic hanging out everywhere. IN SHORT, this was a cheap hotel. They might even consider renting by the hour....literally. We felt creeped out the entire time we were there.
I checked in with my 11 year old son. Greeted by the dad who had his two year old running around. Good start. Safe family feel. When we went to the room I kept wanting to say, "you get what you pay for"...for example, no towels...but the towels were above eye level. no electric socket....but they were below the mirror. On and on. The stay was fine. One criticism. On priceline, the photo is upside down. Fix that! I told the host that and he giggled. That almost was a game changer for me when I wasnt sure. But I'm glad I went. I love indy motels.
Unfortunately, the place was dirty. Shower curtains dirty,. Toilet paper seem to have fallen in water and then let dry. It was half yellow. No soap in the bathroom and the toilet was dirty!! The room wasn't well kept, and we were very uncomfortable sleeping in beds that had stains on the comforter. No coffee maker, but I wouldn't have trusted it anyway.
On the other hand, they waited for us to arrive. We got there very late, but 70$ for a dirty room was definitely overpriced.
😔😔😔
I think they can improve service
My husband and I arrived at 4 AM, but Barbara at the front desk was ready to check me in so quickly. If I had wanted to cancel my room for the night, she said there was no cancellation fee too! So wonderful! Also she's very friendly at any time of day. The room was clean, warm, and very comfortable! Just the room we needed for the night, and so inexpensive! Only $44.80 ($40 + tax) for a double bed (non-smoking)! I loved my stay there.
Driveway entrances from Lake Rd have big old potholes that can suck a car into. They need to fix them and what I seen hanging around not a place I would go to ever
Although we only stayed for about an hour because we were passing through and just needed a quick cat nap and to feed our baby, it was by far one of the best places we've stayed. The staff was extremely accommodating and we felt very welcomed. The room was very clean and comfortable. Definitely would return.
Yooooo! If you live or work or occasionally visit Elmira you need to check out this place. Lucky 7 Deli on the corner of Walnut & Washington (used to be a Byrne Dairy).
They make all kinds of things but it's a Mediterranean/Middle East style kitchen
Made it to Elmira on a return trip from the Finger Lakes. This University campus is gorgeous and full of beautiful old buildings. This was not the original home for the study but has become its final resting place. It wasn't open the day we visited b
So impressed with this hidden gem. I had no idea this place was a restaurant for the first 3 years living here. Now I visit weekly. The fettuccine Alfredo and harvest salad are 10/10. My go to favorites.
Awesome store always love coming here. Awesome place to bring someone. So many animals to look at. They have birds, fresh and saltwater fish, bunnies, chinchillas, hamsters, ferrets, ginni pigs, mice, shrimp, and even living coral decor for your fish
Takes a lot to impress me. Food and service were excellent. This was a first and definitely not our last time! Prices are good, too! I recommend getting their cinnamon toast, so yummy!ð
