Perfectly cooked fried rice. Crispy, full of flavor, good proportion between rice and other ingredients, crisp veggies - truly delicious. And the iced coffee is delightfully strong.
Super good Khao Man Gai! I got a double chicken portion and their hot chili oil is perfect slathered over the meat. Super satisfying to finish everything with their cozy winter melon soup. Need to come back to try other things, especially the banana roti, durian sticky rice, and fridge drinks :)
First time visiting this takeout only spot. Food was ready in under ten minutes. Service was exceptional. The folks who run the place are nothing short of friendly, helpful, and kind. They made great recommendations. Would recommend this place to everyone!
So glad I found this gem! 🫶🏼 It’s my favorite place on the Ave! They are the sweetest people and I love their authentic menu. The mango sticky rice is so good that I keep going back for more! I’ve been recommending this place to so many people.
Delicious little hole in the wall! Stumbled upon this place tonight looking for something easy and cheerful. I found it. Everything was take away even if you ate there you got it in microwaveable containers. Kind of like Snap Kitchen but less corporate. The Penang curry was good with enough spice to warm me up but not kill me. The winter melon soup was comforting. Good little place with character. I enjoyed my meal outside using the public tables. The street that runs in front of the shop is converted to dining when the bus route isn’t running. Great planning with this one.
Got the Khao Mun Gai and the chicken is well cooked and very moist. Would highly recommend getting extra chicken and sauce as both are delicious. The chicken soup that it’s served with is also a great balance to the meal. Only flaw to the meal was the rice as some parts of it are mushy and overall quite flavorless. Would definitely visit again!
A little pricer than I expected, but the food is fantastic. The pad see ew was delicious with big portions. Most Thai places compromise on flavor for spice, but this place seasoned it perfectly and blended the savory flavor with a small amount of heat. Thai tea also had the perfect amount of sugar and tea blend.
After a friend told me about the Thai dish khao mun gai, I sought out a version in Seattle. And I am very glad that I did. This little hole-in-the-wall joint serves an excellent version! The chicken was soft, juicy, and tender. The garlic sauce was like fireworks in my mouth - spicy, sour, and garlicky. The winter melon soup had a great chicken broth base. A few cucumber slices to cool my mouth and I was a very happy man. They appear to only do takeout, but there are abundant picnic tables outside.
