Marination Ma Kai - Hawaiian restaurant in Seattle - 1660 Harbor Ave SW, USA

March 2023 I had the great pleasure of escorting my teenage cousin across the country on his first flight for ADVENTURE TIME and to see about baseball with some of the best. I chose to take him somewhere I've been before. There are more expensive restaurants that are fancier nearby, but this one is the best as a stopping point IMO. It's adjacent to the King County Ferry that will take you on foot to downtown Seattle for further exploration. There are proper restrooms, the food is always delicious, understated, cooked correctly, and priced exactly as it should be. They have healthy options like fresh yogurt with granola (which was my pick for breakfast) and more fun items like spam sandwiches. Children are always welcome. The staff is friendly, and kind. The place is clean and SAFE! I highly recommend walking and exploring Anchor Park at the tip with sweeping views of Mount Rainier to your left, and skyline views of Seattle to the right, and then stopping at Marination with all of your little adventurers in tow (ages infant to 100+) to rest, eat, laugh, use the facilities while waiting for your ferry to arrive before heading on over for your next adventure.

Came here after walking around the area. The food and service was great. We got the fish and chips and the pork with all the different sides and enjoyed every bite!

I love everything about this place! The vibe, the food, cocktails and most especially the outdoor sitting. The location is just by the water so it’s great to enjoy the weather while having your meal. The fish and chips is a must, and just nice to partner that with their refreshing cocktails!

Great location and taste was good. We tried their kaitsu. It tasted pretty good along with view. You can watch people fishing and water taxi docking with birds all over. Really nice place to spend a evening with some food in hand.

Ordered a to-go sando, but thought I was going to miss the ferry so I politely told the staff and got on the boat after there was some confusion with my order name/location. The lady who took my order ran out to the ferry and personally handed me the sandwich which was amazing!!!! Best pork sando I’ve ever had!

Clean place, reasonable price. Food is good, a little on the salty side. The view is unbeatable!! We came here during December when it was rainy outside but it's still nice chill place to hang out, hang lunch and look at the view.

Great views of Seattle and great location next to the ferry and kayak rentals. Fish and chips were tasty. Fish was panko breaded and crispy while still having flaky fish inside. Fries were crispy and salted well, but didn't stand out. Appropriately priced for the portion size and location. I often get the shredded pork sliders. Lots of good options and great outdoor seating for a casual lunch or dinner. Usually a long line to order, but the food comes out fairly quick.

Wonderful outdoor eating spot with beautiful views. It's a must give a try because their food is very good and reasonably priced, considering the location. A popular restaurant for visitors as well as locals.
