This is such a charming gem of a hotel…reminiscent of small family-run ones I have stayed in when in The Mediterranean. Simple, tasteful decor and lovely views from many of the rooms of the Marina and Estuary. The rates are very reasonable for this area, and the gentlemen at the front desk very helpful and kind. They honored a last-minute request for a room on the water! I will definitely be back!

I love this place❣️ Not luxurious, but I feel like at home! Very, very comfortable beds, fluffy pillow, good smells 😴. Everything that you need in the bathroom, quality towels , shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, hairdryer. And the view from the balcony was amazing and calming. Thank you, guys! 😊 🙏❤️

I had a Saturday night stay in the suite. The staff was friendly and attentive to my needs. The room was clean, with plenty of towels. The beds were nice as well. I had a good night's sleep. I will definitely be back again

I booked a room here on Expedia, and when I arrived to check in, I found out they canceled my reservation that morning claiming they couldn’t get ahold of me to confirm I was coming. I never got a phone call, voicemail or email from them, and was completely unaware they had cancelled my reservation. They charged me double the price I paid on Expedia and Highway robbed me. So I paid for the rooms. The next day I was given the managers number to try to rectify the situation, and he accused me of not paying for my room and asked me to send money directly to him to pay for it, even though I could see the payment already taken from my account. He was rude, would not listen to me, and kept asking me to pay for the rooms I always paid for after I had already checked out. This is the most horrible experience I’ve ever had with a hotel. DO NOT STAY HERE

DO NOT STAY HERE Thank you for the response but I did actually speak to the manager on the phone and he accused me of not paying and to send him a zelle , even though I had already paid. The front desk guy was so helpful and sweet, it was definitely not his fault. Your manager should’ve contacted me directly if he had a problem with running the payment. Also, I have used Expedia many times to book rooms and no hotel I’ve ever booked has ever tried to run my card prior to arrival. The way that your business is being run is awful. I would reconsider your procedures in cases like this in the future because you are treating customers very poorly. If you would like to do the right thing, then please refund me the additional $168 you charged me for rooms I had booked for 3 weeks.

Ok, let's get into it!. When we checked into the room, we noticed a cloudy, white, kinda translucent puddle near the toilet. I actually thought it was some liquid hand soap that spilled so I grabbed some toilet paper and cleaned it up. As the night progressed into the next morning, I noticed another puddle forming in the same spot at the base of the toilet, right where it meets the floor. I flushed the toilet and noticed bubbles around the base of the toilet...so now we see the toilet is leaking "toilet" water (yuck)...we of courae call the front desk and a new room is offered BUT with the stipulation that we would only have a new room for the night, would have to check out the next day and wait for another availability because they were at capacity...mind tou this was a Friday and our scheduled checkout was asunday AND we traveled there to attend an event. The room change was not a reasonable option for us. So the frontdesk team comes up to the room, calls themselves assessing the situation and then says they'll send someone to make the needed repair...3 repair attempts in two days later, the puddle still returned after each repair and after major push back and a weak a?? Attempt at the Inn trying to ONLY comp us $30 for the gross inconvenience, we ended up getting one night comp'd and have vowed never to book there again and never book through Expedia again. Also, they advertise a "breakfast" but when we asked about it at check-in, you would think we asked in martian because they certainly didn't know what we were talking about:(.

The Marina Village Inn is a property whose architecture suggests it was built around 1960. Surrounded by centenarian yacht clubs and a high-rise luxury condo, it overlooks a sail-craft marina and beyond, the Oakland Hills. The pool looks like it has been decomissioned since the Obama administration, and given water problems in Ca, will probably remain so. My second and top floor room was airy and sparkling clean, albeit scarcely renovated since construction. A very large single-pane picture window opened with some encouragement and allowed in light, sea air, and a view of bobbing masts at hand and a Coast Guard cutter in the distance. Mattress was firm, the linens fresh and soft, and the full size desk had a sturdy office chair. The microwave, safe, and drip coffee maker I did not use. There was some noise in the bath from an adjoining room, but I heard only a foghorn from the bedroom. The pool and inner court are brightly lit at night -- if your room overlooks them you will want to draw the blackout curtains in order to sleep. All in all a remarkable room for the price : I will trade light, a window that opens, and an honest desk with a view for cookie-cutter amenities any day of the week. The 24 hour front desk answered the phone with a human voice and I enjoyed talking with the employees who were kind and helpful, including the cleaning staff. I enquired about security for my car parked a few steps from the room because the Alameda police dept had posted a sign at the entry warning guests to not leave goods in their car. After all, Alameda is situated betwixt Oakland and San Francisco, arguably the car smash and grap capitals of the US. The night desk person told me that in the two years he has been employed there had never been a car break-in, so I left my bike in the car and slept like a baby.

Good experience! It's not the most luxurious but it's super quiet when I visited. Walking to the water at night without seeing another person is a nice retreat from the busy city. The rooms are OK! AC works great. Showers work and are pretty clean.

The drip coffee was bold and had good flavor. My wife liked her matcha latte. We also had an Ube Mochi cake which was amazing. The staff were friendly and quick. I’ll be coming back here.

Nice and cool area with the breeze from the bay air. Perfect place for large and small dogs. Pretty bustling on the weekends with so many pups playing. There's always a trashcan within and reach to drop off the dookies.
