Marina Inn - Hotel in Des Moines - 22300 7th Ave S, 727 S 223rd St, USA

Very friendly and helpful staff. They were very accommodating when a traffic accident forced a last-minute itinerary change. I was pleasantly surprised at how large the room was. Most welcomed was a full-size desk. Not only for business, but also for the kiddos to spread out their toys. The property is located very close to the "main drag" of the Marina District so while dining options are convenient and plentiful, because the hotel is located one street over there is very little traffic noise. Also convenient is the small grocery store right across the street. The hotel is about a three-minute walk from the Des Moines Marina, so a nice sunset walk along the waterfront is only a short distance away. Overall, a very pleasant experience.

We stayed here one night before we flew out of SeaTac. This is a nice hotel and we had a very comfortable stay with no issues. Everything was nice, comfortable and in working order. A few things might have been a bit dated but no issues. The room had a Fridge and Microwave. The best part is that the hotel is in a great location, you can walk to the pier/marina, plenty of restaurants to walk to and easy to get to SeaTac. We left early so didn't try breakfast. The staff was friendly. The parking was good. We would stay here again if in the area.

My husband and our 9 month old stayed for two nights - we were very happy with the experience. The hotel has basic, simple accommodations. Looked like it had fresh paint, rooms were very clean with the exception of the carpet. Our baby had black marks on his clothes/hands within minutes of crawling on the floor. Staff were available and helpful. The area is quiet and felt safe. Great cafes, restaurants, and walking access to the Puget Sound. For a basic hotel on a budget this is a good option.

Customer service is non-existent (In the lobby, you need to dial a phone to speak to someone). The beds were uncomfortable, made worse by the unwashed blankets. The towels were see-through, but our windows were not. Towels need be used as tub mats because it was extremely slippery. The soap provided was paper thin and ultimately disappeared. The TV was tiny, my computer monitor is bigger. Jane Fonda has had a more recent facelift than this place.|The free breakfast was a plastic wrapped bun with a banana. Stayed here prior to boarding cruise ship. Handicap room was large and easily accessible. Bed was large and comfortable. The room was very quiet. I also have to mention the check-in process was easy and the staff were friendly and professional. Definitely a good choice for lodging when you are in this area.

We had two nights booked at this hotel and only stayed one. When we got there we checked in and we’re told to come back at 3 and our room would be ready. We got there at 4 and the door was open and the maid cart was in front of the door. Once we finally got into the room it was dirty. The sheets had hair on them, there was crumbs all over and just a lot of places you could tell were not cleaned for a while. The chair in the room was covered in ants. During the night people were running up and down the halls and setting off the fire alarm multiple times and there were people sitting outside in a group with a cooler hanging out and being loud. The only good thing about this stay is that we’re we’re able to get our money back for the second night so we could find a better hotel to stay at.

Stayed at this Inn last night. It was very clean and the continental breakfast was awesome. The best part though was one staff member - Gabriella! She was friendly and helpful and went over and above to make sure we were comfortable! Would definitely recommend.

The value and location for the money is great. Around the corner is Athen's Pizza and Pasta (a must do after my husband's hike) and Anthony's HomePort fine dining restaurant on the marina is 0.3 miles away plus a lot of other restaurants including a convenience store and Bobba Tea across the street and T&D's Coffee House, Vietnamese restaurant, is next door. You can drive and walk along the marina and see the people fishing on the wharf. Room was spacious with a sofa, long desk and desk chair, and a separate sink with mirror with microwave and coffee pot with coffee packets. The microwave and coffee pot looked like they were bought in the 1970's but the microwave worked, so that was fine. The lighting was good. The A/C was turned off at the window unit when we arrived, so we had to turn it on and it did cool down the room after it warmed up for a minute. Bathroom had a pleasant marble-like look to it and looked updated. Bed was a bit firm. I felt like something bit my leg twice when I first got in, but I had rubbed my leg and must have killed whatever it was or it was just something pokey in the sheets that left a dot on my leg. The mattresses looked like they were encased in a mattress and box spring covers. I did not wake up with any welts, so all was good. The front desk staff may not be at the front desk all the time and at night the front door is locked and you need to call to enter. There were video cameras. There are no elevators, so you have to carry your suitcase up to the 2nd floor or get a room on the first floor. We left before there was any staff or the continental breakfast. My husband likes the hotel for the convenience. It is close to restaurants and about 13 minutes from the SEATAC airport rental car drop off. For the price and restaurant convenience, I do like Marina Inn over the Best Western.
