Marina Del Rey Hotel - Featured Reviews (2023)
This is a beautiful hotel. The setting is so relaxing in the middle of the harbor with the water surrounding us and boats sailing by. So peaceful and calm. Our room was wonderful with fabulous views and the pool although a little small was really nice especially with the day beds and cabanas. ||The lobby coffee place was not great but we walked up the street on the second day to Albert’s coffee which had great food options and fabulous matcha. Overall we loved staying at the Marina Del Mar and would love to return!
Hotel is in a great location… The vibe is wonderful! I only dined one time at the Salt restaurant, and the food was very good; definitely would recommend! I would also recommend getting a Marina view! The hotel is within walking distance of many stores and restaurants with a sidewalk/walking path around the entire area. Rooms are pretty basic, but nice. I would definitely return!
My husband and I booked two nights at Marina Del Rey Hotel on a layover back from French Polynesia. We wanted to see a little of California, since our plane was landing there and neither of us had ever been. Our flight to LA was delayed 13 hours, so we ended up only having one night at the hotel, but we tried to make the most of it.||We arrived to our room, which was spacious and looked out at the marina and had a large balcony. I was so excited to see sea lions hanging out at the marina, we could hear them from our balcony! |The guest services person, Nancy, was so helpful before our stay, recommending a 5 1/2 hour tour that would pick us right up at the hotel and she signed us up.|We met our tour guide in the lobby of the hotel who picked us up in an open air vehicle and gave us a small group tour of the highlights of LA with stops to get out and explore. It was a great day.|When we returned to the hotel we enjoyed drinks on the outdoor patio while listening to some live music. I also enjoyed going for a couple of walks around the hotel looking at the boats and the sea lions. It was an easy walk to a few restaurants and stores.|The next day, we enjoyed a fantastic breakfast (very interesting menu options) and I enjoyed a relaxing swim in the outdoor pool before checking out and heading the airport.|I am really glad we chose Marina Del Rey for our short California stay. It had sort of a nostagic feel, with some old photographs in the halls and cheerful yellow and white poolside decor. Every staff we met was also very freindly and helpful...especially Nancy at the front desk. Thanks for a great visit.
We had such an amazing stay at this hotel. Right when we walked in we were warmly welcomed by Maya who took great care of us. The ambiance, staff and hotel restaurant were all great we had breakfast at SALT twice, sitting outside with the view of the marina was so relaxing. The pool area is also amazing. The room was very bright and modern and comfortable. Would definitely stay again!
I really enjoyed the cabana style balcony and having easy access to the pool plus the Marina views were so beautiful. It was a great getaway for the weekend. Room furniture is dated but beds are super comfy. Valet staff was always quick, friendly, and professional. The pool was heated which was amazing! Bathroom cleaning could improve but overall great experience staying here.
We researched and read some reviews before coming and we thought MDRH was going to be a truly gross experience. Boy, were the reviews honest, but that was not our experience. ||Before we booked, we double checked they had a dog friendly room for us. So booked, noted in the comment section about needing a dog friendly room…we called about 4-5 hours before we arrived to double confirm they had a dog friendly room. They said yes and they see it in the notes! The front desk person, I spoke had a kind voice and helpful spirit. ||Dog owners you may understand my point and anxiety around having a hotel know these things. ||We arrived very late in the evening. We were helped as soon as we arrived. The valet were excepting us and knew how many other guests they were waiting for…they helped us what we needed and then parked the car for us (Valet is $45 a day). The valet team was friendly, helpful, kind and quick. Thank you José, Danny, Nick, & Alexis for your 110%!! ||We checked in with the front desk, not sure their name but they were wear a grey comfy hoodie…they were quick, helpful and respectful. My husband and I are in the habit of checking the room before we stay the night, we look for how busy it and how noisy it will be due our very spirited and spicy pup…the room was a go! ||The room had fridge, K-cup coffee machine, TV, deck had a city view (faced the parking lot and could see a bit of the Marina), sink, large closet, large standing shower (door opens on the side you turn on the shower). We unload and went to sleep as soon as we could. The beds were comfy, not firm, lots of pillows. Our housekeeping crew was GREAT!! Every time, our room was cleaned, it was refreshed beautifully!! Everything was done with care and intention!! Gracias, señora, Gracias!||Onsite work out room, conference rooms, restaurant (not many options for vegetarians), bar and lounge (also great service), pool and jacuzzi all facing the marina…beautiful views!||The conference room was where I was during weekend (work) was beautiful and the staff had coffee, tea, fruit infused water for us. We had a yummy lunch from the restaurant Cesar salad and Banana pepper Salami Salad (I don’t know the actual name, but it was soo good), two types of sandwiches: roast beef & turkey club, and for desert cheesecake. This work lunch was delicious and they truly did a top notch job!! Steven D. did such a great job making sure we were taken care of!! ||MDRH is walking distance to Trader Joe’s, the marina, restaurants and other fun stuff! There are bikes to rent $8.00 per hour and bike paths in either direction from the hotel. The staff during our stay was great and at check out answer my questions about the billing. The front desk made sure I had what I needed (I also don’t know their name, curly long hair). ||Overall, I hope to come here again, such a pleasant experience!! Thank you MDRH team for all that you do!!
This hotel keeps getting better! Location can’t be beat.. strongly recommend booking a poolside room so you can just walk out.. great views of the Marina and lots of activities including poolside music and bbqs, movie nights etc. Great bar on the marina as well
This is my 3rd time staying here, last time was 2019. and I have to say I used to love it...... but not anymore. We arrived on a Sunday and it was like a pool party going on not what you want to see after 12 hrs flight. Loud music , literally like landing in a cheap Ibiza party. Our room 2111 was facing the port and the had like a movie night in there from 7pm approx extremely loud until 10pm you could hear it from our bed, we called at 1020pm and they still had music on . The rooms you could tell they need an update. Breakfast was ok nothing wow. Pool was dirty on Monday and had a weird smell from the night before. They took forever to bring towels. The bartender near the pool was meh ... Didn't acknowledged people. Bit rude. Not going back . The only goodie is the proximity to the airport and location. But certainly not a hotel for us anymore. We stayed after at the London hotel in Weho and that was what we expected. They must have changed management a few yes ago as you can deffo tell the downgrading.
This is a very nice older hotel that is in a great location near Venice Beach. The beach is a 10 minute walk. The rooms overlooking the Marina Del Rey marina have a great view. This is one of the quietest spots in the city. Had brunch there several t
Couldn't ask for more. Staff was amazingly friendly, and when I left an important belonging behind, they were able to help me get it back efficiently and safely. We've all heard stories of hotels "losing" items. It would be so easy for them to say "n
Clean space, LOVELY staff. I wanted to put a word in for KATHLEEN (at the front desk) & Instructor Laura. Kathleen was extremely kind, caring, & helpful - she made it work so my partner & I would have a great first time experience. I hope management
You can purchase an all day parking pass (good for 24 hours) or hourly. Probably gets much busier during weekends (beach valley ball?, boating) but weekday visit presented a moment for a peaceful stop by the water. There are a couple spots to eat if
My friends wanted to come here so we went there and had a good time! Iâm vegetarian so I had a vegetarian burger ð and it was literally no burger but veggies in the buns yet it was still good! ð I think the sauce makes it tasty ð but I hop
This serene peaceful place where our best memories are woven into is selling online my brother Teferi Assefa first album Origins from the Negarit Band.
This Italian style restaurant is popular and charming. Portions are pretty good sized and very tasty. I would come here often if i lived in the area and it seems like there are a bunch of regulars here. Our family shared the Caesar salad, linguine sh
Wonderful brunch with a view of Marina Del Rey harbor! Highly recommend the pork belly sando because the pretzel croissant bun was unique, fresh and delicious.
Great Bar! Great for Irish holidays to visit. A small minority of people are protesting against the turtle race, but it's awesome and they have no imagination! :). They just yell and shout the loudest but don't protest the real issues of the world. I
Our server Jordan was super helpful and went beyond for us! The menus we really nice! Clean tables. We didnât know they had a Taco Bar!!! Love tacos ð®! Taco Tuesday, I had steak and chicken tacos! Cotija cheese, onions cilantro, green n red sauc
I think in every instance when wanting to eat and looking at reviews you have to weigh out why a person can leave a 5 here and leave a 5 at an actual elegant restaurant and they be held in the same regard. I was in need of a bite of food with no fril
