We have stayed at Marina Bay maybe 6 or 7 times over the past couple of years. We had an issue the last time we stayed, but decided to give the place another shot. This was a big mistake!! The front desk kept saying we could check in early and to check in after our late lunch. Then they had us sitting around waiting to hear from housekeeping and we just ended up going out on our boat. When we returned, our room had not been cleaned beyond stripping the sheets and taking the towels. We had no linens and no towels. I called for HOURS and did not receive on call back. Eventually another guest said they saw the on-site employee was out back fishing. Once my husband got to him and started telling him what was going on, he tried to say he had not received any calls. He was in no rush to help us. So we went to dinner. We came back to a huge back of linen and towels in front of our door. While the rest of our party went to the pool, we were making our bed. Only to find out that there were no pillow cases. So we made another call and he brought some a bit later only to inform us that none of this was his responsibility. The next morning, we went to pull our boat out of the slip we rented. We pulled up some ropes that were rotting around the dock and pulled out only to suck up a rope that was not ours. So we spent over an hour fixing that situation. No one has apologized. no refund or even discount was given. I emailed corporate several times and NOTHING. Hands down, the worst hotel experience I have ever had.

The room has a strong musty odor, I went to the store and purchased 5 odor products. I have allergies. I got a headache and congestion, and chest hurts,I couldn't breathe. Killed a roach on check-in. Management changed our room and gave us a dehumidifier. The property could be so awesome, It just needs a little attention to detail.

We were in town for a funeral and decided to spend extra on a room on the water with a view. The only good thing about this experience was the view. ||The issues were endless. Upon check in another guest was complaining about the litany of issues and the overcharge she experienced. Thank goodness we had no extra cost issues. However, here is how pur experience went:||Friday morning called 11am for early check in. Told to wait until normal 3pm check in. Arrived at 3pm, told our room might be ready before they close the front desk at 4:30pm. Asked what happens if it's not, was told hopefully it would and they would call me. Didn't call me so I called after 4 and told room ready. ||At this "resort" check in we were informed that the jacuzzi is broken, you have to take out your own trash, you have to wear a wristband on property at all times and pay a $10 fee if not returned, have to return dirty towels in a bag ( what bag?) to front desk for new ones and only provided 2 sets for a 3 day stay. No daily cleaning service. The bathtub was moldy, none of the appliances in the kitchen worked, the air conditioner on high fan/ cold air setting barely cooled the room, the bathroom vents were dirty and the floor was the dirtiest we had ever experienced! The bed did seem clean, but one of our towels had a big stain on it. The handy man came quickly to fix the TV and we were told this happens unexplainably all the time so we chose to never turn it off for 3 days. The pool was a scary shade of green and was 3 feet below normal the first day we arrived. ||The only saving grace was we chose a room with a deck view of the harbor so we tried to sit outside when possible. There is no sun cover so often too hot to do so. The downstairs common area has oddly flashing lights at night due to broken strings of lights. The outside seemed nice, bur we didn't trust this place enough to explore further. We had to ask for toilet paper, Kleenex and trash bags during our stay. This place frankly sucks and wasn't worth the $200+ per night cost. We would get better value at a $40 / night hole in the wall! You can tell this place was once amazing, but everything has aged and fallen into disrepair. This needs sold to someone who wants to restore it to glory.

I've stayed at Marina bay in the past 4 or 5 time and really enjoy the place. However things have changed greatly. When we arrived we had to wait for our room because it was being cleaned - if you want to say that. The room had an order from the cleaning products and the floor was still damp. That night when I removed my socks They were BLACK on the bottom from walking around the suites tile floor. In the morning I took a towel and wiped one floor tile and the tile was black. One of the toilets didn't work and the pool was a dark green color and closed.|When I went to the office there were two other people complaining about the same floor issues THE FILTH! They sent a cleaning person to clean the floor who sprayed the floor with some type of cleaning product I think and wiped over the floor with a Swiffer type mop which just moved the filth around. I wipe the floor with a clean white towel which was black. I showed this to the cleaning person who was very very rude and said this what I was told to do. So I wiped down the whole floor with towels. |I complained the next day to the manager Connie , who was also rude. She sent over their best house cleaner who used a different cleaner and proper mop that she could rinse. Her comment WOW that dirty. The floor was better but I again clean the damp floor with a towel. I f you stay here and get a towel that's stained with dirt it well be one of the ones I cleaned the floor with. The pool was dark green and was told there was an issue with the filter system. I wonder how long because it takes some time for a pool to change to the color green .It was repaired after three day and was enjoyable for the remainder of our stay. ||The internet was down for 4 days which we were told it was from a storm the prior week. if it take this long for internet company to repair replace them.||This brings me to the final issue which I didn't tell them until we checked . There was something living in the ceil over our two bathrooms and in the front wall. I believe it was either mice or what I really believe was Bats.||I just hope Marina bay's new owners take some pride in this complex and bring it back to it's glory.

STAY FAR AWAY!!! ROACH MOTEL!!! DRUGS!!!||||***IF YOU’RE MILITARY OR A GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEE, YOU MAY WANT TO CHECK WITH HOUSING AT THE BASES, BECAUSE I DO PLAN ON TRYING TO GET THIS PLACE BLACKLISTED *** MR. JONES, THE OWNER IS VERY UNETHICAL AND JUST WANTS YOUR MONEY!!!||||I deleted my original review because I wanted to wait until we were fully out of this roach motel. My husband (who is retired military and 100% disabled) decided to stay at Marina Bay Resort while waiting to see what the housing market was going to do. We started staying there at the end of March 2023 and within a night or two, my catalytic converter was stolen while parked in the parking lot. Our sink and bathtub stayed backed up, pretty much the whole time we stayed there (last day was August 28,2023). Yes, we reported it!!! The dishwasher never worked. We had fruit flies like crazy and had to put sticky stuff around the room to help eliminate some of them. We were constantly seeing roaches, even though we put out roach bait to kill them. We saw roaches in the cubbards, the drawers where we put our silverware, one was on my pillow, I had one fall from the ceiling into the shower WHILE I WAS IN IT AND MIND YOU, THE WATER GETS BACKED UP!!! There was brown stuff coming down the walls from the room upstairs. There is an area across from the hotel where the homeless congregate and do drugs. I had some of the other people staying there asking me if I wanted to buy drugs and the places just wreaks of marijuana. Lastly, I’m no longer angry with Mr. Jones for charging me $4300 for the month of August. I can see why you would need that extra $2000 more than me 🤷‍♀️.

We have had the best week. Some of the reviews of this hotel had us very worried. I’m glad they didn’t persuade us to cancel our reservations. It is a wonderful location, friendly staff, clean, nice rooms and no bug issues as others had stated. We were there for 7 days. I only seen one roach and it was outside on the sidewalk. It’s very humid there and rained a lot so seeing one roach outside was not uncommon. We seen no bugs in our room. No weird smells as mentioned. The beds were super comfortable, we fished everyday from the dock on the property. My husband caught catfish, blue fish and bait fish. We did not have maid service during the week but anything you needed was very convenient. You just take your towels to the front desk and they exchange them. They will give you a big trash bag and they have a convenient location to drop the bag in on your way to your vehicle. Not a big deal at all. The staff was super nice. The pool and jacuzzi was in working order all week. The maintenance staff was very good for keeping the property clean and in workable order. We honestly had the best week and was very pleased with our stay. We were able to take our chihuahua for an affordable pet fee. We are hoping we can stay here again next year. Unfortunately, the only kind of negative comment would be concerning the price to stay here really going up. We made our reservations just before the new prices went into effect or unfortunately we could not have afforded to stay there. We loved it so much and it was the perfect location for our family. We are hoping maybe we can stay here again if the prices are affordable again next year. Please do not let the negative comments of others reviews deter you from making reservations at this location. It really is a wonderful place to stay. We highly recommend it.

The staff were nice and did their best to meet the guests' needs. The pool and most spaces were clean and well cared for. The location is great--just minutes from beautiful beaches with plenty of parking! There are plenty of places to dine and shop nearby, with fun places to take children for entertainment down the road. In the room, the bed was super comfy, the AC worked great, and very quiet. But the rooms smell musty, although very clean. Overall, the resort is pleasant if a bit run-down.

Great little hidden resort. It’s in an awesome location. It’s right on the bay so you have your waterfront view from the rooms, and there is tons of stuff to do all right there. All the food and beaches are within 10 minutes from the hotel. I will say the strip that runs past the hotel is wild. The traffic is a beast. But once you get used to the Florida driving, it’s no problem. They have a dope pool, huge hot tub and Great game room. Also the manager is super nice and friendly. She helped us with everything and gave us some great recommendations in the area.

Tried this place from word of mouth and the feedback was everything and more than I wanted. My wife and I tried the yuca fries and the birra tacos and we were not disappointed. Tasted like home cooking and I could not be more pleased. On top of that
