The place could use some sprucing up, the buffet was nice had a variety of food they kept it full.. The workers was great.
. The cozy atmosphere, friendly staff, and delicious food make it a must-visit destination. From the perfectly cooked carne asadas to the perfectly cooked rice, every dish was a culinary delight. The service was impeccable, and the atmosphere during summer is unforgettable. I highly recommend Marimbas for a memorable dining experience.
Food was good but my medium rare steak was dry, prices have changed and are different than what's on the menus we were given, service was amazing, they were willing to change our total to previous price.

Awesome food with plentiful portions. Service was excellent. Prices were the cheapest I've seen in the region for authentic Mexican cuisine. Building could use some updates.
A family friend suggested this place as the best Mexican restaurant in Shelbyville, KY. There are MANY to choose from so I took her suggestion and do not need to look any further. Turns out first time is the charm with this one. Man! I cannot tell you how pleasantly surprised I was with Marimba. The food was so hot and fresh. Their flavors are fantastic. I made a combo with a chicken and a beef burrito and a beef taco, which I ate every bit of. Absolutely delicious; but! I was a little jealous of my wife’s plate of perfectly seasoned carnita chunks. We have also visited their buffet they have on Friday’s and sundays and loved being able to sample other flavors they have. Marimbas is our go to Mexican restaurant from now on. It’s just fresh and fabulous.

My food was absolutely delicious, and my drink was very taste. My food came out pretty fast, which was great because I couldn't stop eating the chips and salsa. I highly recommend stopping by here to eat. I know for sure that I will be back.
Iâve ordered the quesabirria twice. Each time the server expressed mild and pleasant surprise that an Anglo would order it. They are delicious and now is my favorite Mexican dish. Look it up on Google, and if it sounds interesting, give it a try.
