We had a large party, and rented out the back room. But they only gave us one server, and part of our party had to wait an extra 10 minutes to get their food. So we weren't all able to eat together. The food was good, and the pie was delicious. But I recommend at least two servers for a party as large as ours.
I went to this restaurant for the purpose of remembering the taste of the food. The food tastes normal. But the tall male waiter seemed to have a good attitude. In fact, the service quality is very poor. I asked him if he had a salad buffet, and he said the service had stopped long ago. At the end of the meal, he didn't ask me if I wanted dessert. He asked the guests this question at the other tables. Before my meal, when I entered the door, I saw that there was cornbread served as starter at the first table, but the two old people couldn't finish it, and there was half of the cornbread left. The waitress did not mention the cornbread starter from beginning to end, whether it charges or for free. Did he really think I was the first time to be here? Everyone for here knows Cornbread is always free as a starter. Even if it charges, as a waiter, he should ask the guest if he needs it or not. I think, this is the most basic thing a waiter should do when he charges 20% tip. Is it really different to be served for a foreigner?
Made an online order for pick up! 2 pie slices & a whole pie. When I got home, i noticed I recieved the wrong pie slices. & when we opened our peach pie there was MOLD on it!!! I called and spoke to a worker & they refused a refund! The worker was rude & had an attitude!
We ordered the pumpkin cheesecake for Thanksgiving and it was terrible. There was a very small layer of pumpkin and absolutely no cheesecake. It literally tasted like whipped cream. It didn’t even LOOK like cheesecake. The picture clearly showed a layered cheesecake and what we got didn’t remotely come close. The crust tasted like gingerbread which was so overpowering but it did provide the only flavor in the pie. The topping (which is whipped cream) looks exactly like the “cheesecake “.
Went there today after many years. I had previously bad experience with the food and today was also a bad experience. I wanted to try their skillet since it looked somewhat new on their menu. Thai Skillet. It's a no for me. Over-salted shrimp with what seems like oregano mixed with a sweet sauce. It just didn't mix well. I also ordered a pumpkin pie (since it was the season). It was also a no for me.
We went to try again as I haven't been in awhile. We had the 2 for $49 deal. My girlfriend had vegetable soup, pot roast dinner and a slice of coconut pie. I had a green salad, the beef & chicken skillet and a slice of key lime pie. It was very good and the food came out pretty quickly!
I just bought 2 pies. A banana creme pie and a chocolate creme pie. Marie calendar pies never disappoint. Especially half price months, February and October. They also still honor their buy back pie tins. 50 cents per tin. You bring in enough you can get free pie!
We ordered 2 individual thanksgiving dinners to be picked up on Thursday. The potato soup was good. Then we tried the vegetables and they tasted freezer burnt, undercooked and no seasoning. The turkey gravy was awful. The stuffing and mashed potatoes were not good. The pies were the best part of the meal. We spent $69.98 for 2 dinners not worth $10. The worse thanksgiving dinner I ever had. Don’t waste your money. The food is not good.

I love Irene's! The staff is always friendly and attentive, even when super busy. The atmosphere is comfortable and casual, it's a great place to dine alone or with friends. The patio is perfect for people watching while enjoying the best Mimosas in

Great classic American style waffle/breakfast/brunch spot in a busy area. The Hangover skillet has savory complex flavors throughout with a healthy but not ridiculous portion size. The Cheese Toast that comes with it (pictured) is a CULINARY NATIONAL
