Went last night with a friend-service was great! Food was awesome! Good portions and everything was piping hot! They have this pasta with cream sauce, speck and mushrooms and peas and it was truly amazing. My friend got the scallop risotto which was also great! We will definitely be back!

This was our second time booking a reservation with the restaurant. We enjoyed a birthday dinner with our adoptive daughter. The staff made her feel comfortable enough to order her own food despite her anxiety with new environments. Any issues with our experience were met with compassion and paitence. I will always reccomend Màre Mediterranean as a fine dining experience that does not disappoint!

Went on my anniversary dinner with my wife. Spend some good quality time at this quite and cozy place with awesome ambience. The food is amazing too. A must visit.

My company held a client holiday event at Mare, and it was incredible from start to finish. Danielle helped plan every little detail and was there to answer all of my questions. The service and food were excellent, and the atmosphere of the restaurant is absolutely gorgeous. Our clients were more than impressed with the evening and asked us to come back next year!

Absolutely fantastic! First time there last night for our anniversary , won’t be our last for sure. Came in from Northern Mi it was well worth the drive. Max our server was outstanding, a real gentleman and like all of the staff made us feel very welcome. The food was delicious, can’t wait to try the rest of the menu. Even took back a piece of chocolate cake back to our room, glad we did!

If you are looking for an experience and are willing to pay for it, I would make a reservation. If you are looking for wonderful food at reasonable price, skip. You will definitely feel you overpaid for a disappointing evening. The concept and execution of fresh fish being well prepared and served tableside was done well. Fish selection and quality was top notch. Based on the initial review of the catch and price point, expectations were high. However, $160 spent per person left me very disappointed. Party of 6, 2 bottles of wine, 6 cocktails, 2 apps, 2 deserts, 6 side salads, 2 fish (5 lbs ish) with 2 sides. The salads were fresh, made with high quality ingredients, tasted simple and well. My favorite was sadly the fries. Reminded me of fries you would eat on the Mediterranean coast. The salad and fries should not be the highlight of this review or what I found the best tasting. Fish was better than good, but not great. Prepared simply and well. Not overdone, good flavor because the fish is inherently good and not because there is magic or mastery in the kitchen. Cocktails were not well balanced and could be refined. The wine sommelier gave the impression of being compensated on commission, as he upsold the bottles that did not deliver fully on the promised pairing or taste. Overall, disappointed. Would not recommend outside of a unique experience. If I go back, would opt for a single fish to be customized vs a more exotic fish to be shared and straight up beverages on the rocks.

Fabulous new and beautiful Mediterranean food restaurant in Birmingham! The Perfect place for a ‘date night’ or ‘just because.’ This restaurant has an elegant and sophisticated ambiance with a space for everyone.. you can enjoy yourself at the bar, dining room and lounge. The staff is extremely accommodating and attentive! Delicious food and beautiful atmosphere aside, my favorite part was getting a tour of the seafood display. Fresh on ice are the seafood options and details explained regarding their flavor profiles and origin from the restaurants expert. After it’s cooked the whole fish is cut and filleted right at your table! The owners are so sweet and have done it again with another town favorite dine in spot. Can’t wait to go back!
