Maple Shade Mansion - Bed & breakfast in Brockway - 1017 Main St, USA

What a gem . This beautifully restored Mansion is exquisite & was beautifully decorated for the holidays. The rooms were beautifully decorated with all amenities needed for our stay in addition to being immaculately clean, and very comfortable. The Innkeeper and manager are warm and welcoming-with incredible attention to detail. The breakfasts were delicious and nutritious, beautifully served. Throughout the mansion there are lovely sitting areas which we thoroughly enjoyed and access to beverages & snacks. It manages to be both stunningly beautiful whilst being cozy & comfortable. It was perfect for our visit to the local area and made our visit to Brockway even more special and memorable.

We are in the middle of our stay for our anniversary. If you get a chance to stay - take it. It's very elegant and the service could not be better!||In planning our trip both Sharon and Carl have been absolutely awesome in suggestions for restaurants and activities, things to do to help make our stay special. Carl even offered to make reservations for us. When we arrived he had our itinerary written out for us. ||We are in the third floor Wendell room. It's spacious, sparkling clean and has an amazing shower with rainfall. We were able to cozy up in chairs in front of the fireplace and slept extremely well. ||After saying I was warm I'm the room the temperature was quickly adjusted and a fan offered. ||Fresh towels, and ice water with glasses are provided with the daily room refresh, and there are plenty of cozy corners throughout the property both inside and out to enjoy the view, and snack and coffee which is always available. ||Breakfast was filling and served with local ingredients and a smile- along with a beautifully set table. ||We would stay again in a minute!

First, this building is amazing. Second, the folks who saved this piece of history are good ones. Interestingly enough, during a whiteout blizzard, I found myself on the side porch admiring the attention to detail that went into all of the exterior renovation. It's truly impressive. Bravo. Without hesitation, during the middle of a storm, they helped me and my new friend out. If you are traveling through the tri-county area, without a doubt, I'm sure that you will enjoy your time here. We had a wonderful time here…gorgeous and very comfortable rooms! And everything was above and beyond, from the little touches inside the room, coffee/tea/treat stations, and the wonderful breakfast served on different beautiful china every morning! Our hosts were so friendly and you can tell they love what they do, so rare to see anymore but it made us feel very welcome and relaxed. Highly recommend the squire suite if you want a little extra room and like having 2 bathrooms like my husband and I did 😄

A romantic retreat located in a lovely little town between DuBois and Brookville just minutes off I-80. Absolutely lovely, amazingly affordable with many charming amenities. My husbands favorite was the intricate woodwork and the painstaking renovation that preserved this beautiful late 1800’s home. I loved the ambiance, the friendliness of the owner and manager. The ground with the grape arbor and fountain added to the charm. Our bed was so comfortable, the shower has great water pressure and an endless supply of hot water. Central air was also a bonus. Breakfast were graciously served. My favorite was the frittata. Fresh fruit and yogurt accompanied every breakfast. We loved our time there and we will definitely return.

If I could give this B&B a million stars, I would. This historic house is immaculately tended, and absolutely pristine. The staff are incredibly helpful, professional and kind. Room: 10/10 Food: 10/10 Vibe: 20/10 Not to mention, the rates are super reasonable considering the amenities. Did I mention the heated bathroom floors, and complimentary chocolates? The stained glass windows? The woodworking? Top notch. All of it. If I had to say anything even remotely negative, it would be that we were right next to another room, and the doors are not exactly soundproof. I'll leave it at that. You can choose your rooms though, so maybe ask when you book if that's important to you. If you want to impress your significant other, book a room here and make a trip to Brockway through the magnificent Pennsylvania countryside. You won't be disappointed.

Excellent stay! Easy booking, checking in and communication. Carl was super helpful with everything from check in to breakfast the next day. It's the little things that make Maple Shade worth the stay. One example: the sheets are cleaned in fragrance-free detergent. So appreciated for those with allergies or just sensitive noses. The room was immaculately clean. So relaxing! Breakfast was awesome, as well. Thanks, Maple Shade, we'll be back!
