This motel had great reviews and was very economical, but I am sorry to say that our room did not measure up to our expectations. We couldn’t wait to leave in the morning! The floor felt sticky in bare feet and my husband’s socks were gray on the bottom from walking on the floor. The TV remote was missing one of its batteries, so it was essentially nonfunctional. We couldn’t use the TV. There were no filters or coffee for the coffeemaker, so no coffee for us! No cups of any kind for us either. I had hoped for much better, but like I said, we were happy to get out of there in the morning!
We have a big family and room 11 was great for us. Very clean with lots of upgrades including the very important usb outlets for kids. Owners were very responsive and friendly. I read a review that called it a hidden gem and that is accurate!
I chose the Maple Motel based on reviews, so perhaps our negative experience was unique. The room was not clean. Period. The kitchen area didn't appear touched - the stove top had crumbs and debris on it, and the refrigerator was disgusting. There was dirt and debris all over the floor. It appeared it was swept but, at this point, it needs to be scrubbed. The sheets were fresh but we found dead bugs (2) in the bed. I think they were just moths. The seal on the exterior door was so poor that it's not surprising small things can get in to die. The exterior was also filthy, which could be easily solved with a power washer. Bottom line: it's okay to be an older property with older furnishings, but there's no excuse for filth. My spouse said it would be a great spot for a guys fishing trip, as there were several boats parked there. However, it was not a great spot for families with young kids who will inevitably touch everything and walk barefoot on the floor.
This hotel is nasty! The room had a odor that was disgusting, the sheets were stained and the comforter had hair all over them, the toilet had stains all over it and the air conditioner did not work! They said they would refund our money but then changed their mind because we didn't leave a good review! So no refund....I leave reviews everywhere I stay and I travel a lot and this was the worst by far and I don't usually leave bad reviews but I don't want other's to deal with what we did.
I got the room with a mini kitchen. Kitchen clean and fridge looked brand new. It had pots, pans and silverware. AC got cold enough that I had to turn it off at night. I was very happy
The room was big and clean. It had a full size fridge which was great! The bathroom was nice, shower was a little small but water pressure was awesome. The bathroom was well stocked with plenty of towels , washcloths and toilet paper. Plenty of hot water. It had a kitchenette. Little grease on the wall, probably from the fishermen frying fish. lol. The only thing I didn’t really care for was a few spiderwebs in the bathroom. (No spiders that I seen only old web in corner). Very good place to stay. Quiet and safe neighborhood. We would definitely stay there again. The manager or owner( not quite sure) was friendly and helpful. Very polite and explained how to use the key pad when we got there to get into our room. It was like a little apt. Can’t say enough nice things. Thanx
I love this hotel ,I stayed last year and it was just as awesome as this year,the room was amazing, friendly people all around us,I love the set up in the room the air conditioning is amazing, the staff is so helpful and friendly, I suppose if i had to say anything about my stay that wasn't great would be NOTHING!!!!.,I'm coming back next year to stay ,thank you maple hotel staff.and owners

Great place, friendly owner. Unfortunately, the restaurant has closed, but there is a lovely breakfast diner within walking distance. Quiet location with little traffic or noise at night. Clean rooms.
