Historic and sceanic place to visit. We talked with Paul, one of the volunteers of the Rotary club helping to maintain the lighthouse. You can visit 4 of the 5 floors that include details and facts on each floor. Donations are suggested but not pushed. It is a bit of a walk but well kept walkway. The last 100 feet is narrow and close to the water.
An early morning walk out to the lighthouse is the perfect way to start the day. The cool breeze, abundance of sunshine, beautiful surroundings and sound of the waves contribute to the peaceful vibe. It's well worth getting up early to have the place all to yourself.
Important: Parking to access this place is near the light house pavilion and over the little island. The "dog park" is also there near the other end of said island but is only a fenced in area. It's a very pretty small island and leading up to the Lighthouse having water on both sides is an enjoyable moment for everyone who likes to be near the water.
Beautiful place to walk the pups! It has a great view of the light house with a dog park nearby and a beach too!!
Can be accessed from a public peer, however, the building itself is privately owned.
Amazing place to go for a walk, run, go to the beach, or let your dogs run. There is a closed off dog run area. Light house is awesome and you can walk all the way out to it. Waves crashing, beautiful sights and sounds. I’ve seen some launch their kayaks here. There are plenty of events close to the light house in the summertime. Light house tours on July 4th as the inside isn’t open to the public. Now you can! Very awesome to get out here when the sun is setting for pictures and to clear your mind!
One of coolest spots in Manitowac to watch the Badger come into port. The lighthouse is easily accessible most days though sometimes you’ll end up with wet feet.
Take the path via the beach and rocks on the north side of the area if possible (clockwise), as there are mpre birds, prarie, and wildflowers that way. I crossed with a bit of a swell but its still doable. The lighthouse is only open about once a month apparently but at least they leave the stairs open! Very well maintaining and excellent view. Lots of art on the rocks!

My daughter is truly enjoying classes at Lakeshore Tae Kwon Do. The leadership of Master Weber, Ms Cogswell, Ms Peltier & the other black belts that help the newer students & lower belts is top notch. You couldn't ask for a better group of role model
This is one of the best run CrossFit facilities we have visited, and we've worked out in CrossFit boxes all over the world! They have a great coaching staff- very knowledgeable and capable of scaling a WOD to any fitness level.
This was incredibly cool. Great experience going through and imagining life for those WW2 soldiers. Got to go through the deck and the main floor within the sub including torpedo rooms, sleeping quarters, engine rooms and dining areas. Kept my 3 kids
This is quite the spot for ice cream near Red Arrow Park and Red Arrow Beach. The friendly staffed allowed my wife and I to sample several delicious ice cream flavors. My wife had single scoop the WI Campfire Smores ( Graham flavored ice cream with
One of the best breweries I have visited this year. Friendly staff and a variety of beers. They have something for everyone here! My favorite here was the Gumbskull but The Superior was amazing too. Definitely drop by here if you are nearby.
What a hidden gem! We first heard about these gardens last year, and met up with family on a nice August day here. Itâs not a big area, but absolutely packed with gorgeous flower beds and manicured paths and breathtaking lakefront views. Itâs fre
