I recently was kicked out after 3 years along with multiple other long term tenants. during the hurricane the power was out for a week. a week after the lights were on, they fired a very friendly and great manager for a cold blooded new management that went around kicking everyone out who could not pay for the week with no lights. we work from home and with no power we were out of work and spent most days drenched in sweat. besides that we had numerous bug problems(no roaches). the a/c consistently broke with no help. the whole place is a pig with makeup. painting over imperfections. you can tell the place has suffered from water damage because there is mold growing through the ventilation. most repairs i made on my own because maintenance never really did anything. the area does not offer much but the local meth heads are sure to bother your vehicle or belongings below your unit. overall you get what you pay for but there are much better places than this.
Great place to stay on Galveston Bay. Our cottage was perfect! The private fishing Pier was awesome. We caught about 30 fish in 24 hours! The weren't trophy's, but it was fun! Thank you Seth for making our visit awesome! We'll be back!
Love 💚💛it here. Condo is sitting right over the Gulf, steady breeze, all staff are😇 nice, fishing is great, very well maintained and very clean. 👍 Would love😍 to stay here more than a month! We will be leaving at the end of July😅👣 Definitely recommend you come here, you will not want to leave!
Very nice area to start. Fishing pier is excellent. Clean, well maintained, and well lit. Clean running fresh water and sink is amazing to wash off fish slime or bait. Didn't catch anything noteworthy. Lots of sand trout that night and rain. Would be nicer if there were more lights or if they installed green lights to attract more fish
The peacefulness and privacy of this place is remarkable. Its a great little gem wether you're out here on business or pleasure. The family has loved our stays here anytime we are in the area. It is genuinely a getaway with grocery and department stores within 15 minutes away. Highly recommended but usually booked. Definitely worth the try to get in line for one of these cottages. Management is very likeable and very much "people" persons and always have time for a friendly conversation. Look forward to our next stay.
The owners are amazing. This place is kept up like a 5 star resort. Cabins are first class all the way! Sat out at the end of the pier under the lights at night and caught trout, redfish, flounder, and even an alligator gar. Great for long term stays! Why stay in a hotel when you can feel like you staying at the fish camp, but only first class! Love the place, can’t wait to go back!
Another awesome stay at my favorite place in San Leon. The owner is very courteous, the cabins are adorable and the view is great! I love the laundry room and the pier. I almost don't want to leave a good review just so I can keep this place to myself. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
The guy who works the front desk was beyond accomadating. The place is right on the water and we can see a beautiful sunrise every day. Very clean and the yard is manicured. Awesome laundry facility, they have a couple really nice grills and access to a dock for fishing. The maids don't come every day so if your there for a week stay and have lazy young people with you suffering from entitlement issues as many of today's youth do please plan to pick up after yourself and them. Still it's way better than a hotel and it's American owned. This place should be full of people and the the only reason it's not is because it's off the beaten path. Don't spend more on a hotel when you can feel at home on the Mandolin Pier! Oh yeah, all the rooms have kitchens!
