Mamaroneck Motel - Motel in Mamaroneck - 1015 W Boston Post Rd, USA

It's an old-school 1940's-50's motel. The location is good. Close to restaurants. It was simple and had the bare essentials. Microwave, coffee pot and mini-fridge. The bathrooms are tiny! Towel rack was falling off the wall and the grout was dirty. Overall the place met our needs for a one night stay, but definitely is worn out. The walls, trim, furniture, doors, hardware, everything just pitted, scratched, sometimes dirty; nothing horrifying to demand a refund but the entire place needs a small renovation and thorough clean sweep inside and out. Some positives, Big bed, the WiFi and AC worked well and the shower had great pressure and hot water. This place will do you just fine for a night in a pinch to save a buck.

I live close by but needed a place for the weekend. I'm not fussy when is an emergency. The room was ok an older setting but it was comfortable I'm not moving in so it was fine. My complaint is cost but it's Mamaroneck not Yonkers so $100 is not completely unheard of. The people are a little rude but that's their way. The floor was clean the bed and pillow comfortable I didn't use the shower the room was cool so no need for AC If you want the bells and whistle don't come here. If you want safe and cozy nights sleep stop by. It's a motel and it's been here forever. Get in Get out and wear socks or slippers if 30 year old hardfloors and cacked dirt in the corners gross you out. Is your house better after 30 years of living there with daily people rotation?

FIRST-Book on-line!!!! I was told plenty of rooms and no need to reserve but wasn't given the rate. Weary from travel I buckled at the desk and paid $125 (on line was $88-$109)! Sink drain held in with duct tape, toilet took 7 flushes to finally work, no blankets....awful!! Sleep in your car instead.

This place was excellent for my needs. It was safe, clean and the hot water works. Mamaroneck is a treasure. Great food at a number of restaurants. Cute harbor with a nice park. In 30 minutes you are at Gran Central Station. 100 a night vs 250 a night in Times Square. Mamaroneck is quieter and believe it or not the food is better. The guy who runs the motel was good to deal with.|If I’m going NYC way again I’m staying at the Mamaroneck Motel.

Stayed here for a single night for a wedding. It was cheap and close to the location - that was it. There was no one there to check us in when we arrived at 3:30pm or so, for at least an hour. The toilet barely flushed and almsot overflowed on its own. The shower dripped constantly and the whole bathroom was super wet and nasty. Showered with flip flops so I didn’t get staph. The AC smelled like cigarettes when it turned on. The beds were fine. The parking lot was maintained, I felt safe both for my room with my things and parking my car. There were some college kids filming a movie.

Interesting how the reviews vary from 1 to 5. My review is comparing with a room I could have booked for 148.00 on that Wednesday night that I have stayed recently but was 10 minutes further from my family. This place was 100 dollars and I couldn’t take a shower because of the filth caked on the tiles and the curtain. One thin sheet, untucked on the mattress and another for cover. No comforter or blanket. My wife refused to stay and crashed at our son’s couch. They refused to cancel and return the money because “that is one of our better rooms and there is nothing wrong with it”. It would be a 5 star compared to sleeping on the street curb.

The location was convenient. Outside of the motel was charmimg, but the rooms are worn. We had a room with a small kitchenette which was convenient. Comfortable bed. Could have been cleaner. Layer of dust on wooden headboard. But for a single night, it was ok.

This is a very affordable motel in a good location. It's a little run-down but clean enough and the manger and cleaners were all very pleasant. I did see the negative reviews but the price is great and I have no complaints.
