MaMa’s Pizza and Trattoria - Pizza restaurant in Hunter - 7730 Main St, USA

Mama's was recommended to us by locals so we tried it for dinner. We ordered the sesame-crust Margherita pizza. The place is lacking in ambiance, it's counter service, they only take cash, and they don't offer fountain drinks (only cans or bottles). However, the music was delightful and the pizza was absolutely amazing. We loved the sauce and the sesame seeds added a nice toasted crunch. The pizza had big leaves of basil on it, roasted garlic, and fresh shaved parmasean but it could have used some more mozzarella, especially for the price. Overall, we had a nice dinner and will definitely come back for pizza again. Also, it's worth mentioning that they had a lovely outdoor seating area.

Right across from hunter. Cute place cozy fireplace the nicest people. Pizza was good not as good as a New York Neapolitan pizza but I am biased. Mama’s meatballs were amazing meatballs in sauce with some ricotta all popped in the oven. Highly recommend. Just remember they are cash only.

The margarita pizza with the sesame seed crust is awesome. We also got some gelato. Nice looking bar. No fountain drinks but that's okay. I was more than happy with my bottle of Diet Coke. No reason to pay for a ski area prices and lots of cafeteria food when you can walk over here super easy.

Got a near lovers pizza, jalapeno poppers, and boneless chicken. The pizza was low sauce and very salty, maybe from the bacon. The chicken was also very salty half from the sauce but also half from the breading. The jalapeno poppers were very tasty. Overall wasn't worth getting, the salt was overwhelming.

Popped by for a quick takeout! What a lovely place with delicious, freshly made pizzas and warm staff. We chose our pizza with a sesame crust and customized the veggies. Reasonable price, yummy and fast service.

This is my go to restaurant whenever I come up to the area. The rigatoni bolognese is to die for, honestly, one of the best pasta dishes I have ever had. Also, I've eaten a lot of pizza throughout the years, but nothing beats their margherita pie! As I told one of the waitresses, this may be my all time favorite pizza ever. The service is here is friendly and welcoming, the atmosphere is inviting, and the food is top notch and impeccable. I don't think my Nonna could have done it any better!

We went to MaMa's expecting to dine in on a Wednesday evening. We found out there is No dining in except for the weekend. (Call ahead.) The dining room had the tables and chairs pushed together in a sort of pile. We did not order the dinners we had in mind since we would have had to wait 25 to 30 minutes. We got pizza slices to go. They were delicious. Take it from a kid from New York City this is well made flavorful pizza. The One Star for Service was the fact that we could not dine in which we did not see on their Website. The folks who served our "to go' were friendly and efficient. Obviously we are not from the area.

Best pizza in the state, outside the city! We spilt (two people) the Marghaeritta, Buffalo Chicken, and White w/ Prosciutto and Red Onion slices. So goooood. They have a sesame seed, thin crust that is just perfectly cooked. Hats off to the chef. Cute little place too, right across from Hunter Mountain. Highly recommend!!!
