My first time at Mama Mia's was a great experience. The food was delicious, the service was awesome. The ambiance was great.

This place was extremely mid. The burrata and bruschetta were not bad, 3 stars max. I got the garlic festival scampi, which was pretty bad. Bland, watery, nothing was seasoned. Shrimp seemed like they were frozen. Nice presentation, atmosphere, and service, but food is low quality for the price they charge. My total was $40 for just those two things.

A little busy even at around 4:30pm. I ordered Paella, Lasagna and tender chicken kid menu. Staff was friendly. Our to-go order took 25 minutes to make. Food was delicious.

Love this place and the excellent food. With their big fireplace outside, the setting is welcoming and cozy. We go there at least once a week! Manager Louis and his staff, especially Suleima, Anthony and Irwin are super attentive, fast and professional.

Definitely would not recommend coming here. To start the service was very lackluster and slow as can be. No offers to refill waters or other drinks even though the waiter would walk around often but ignore all the tables. It took a very long time for each interaction with the staff including paying at the end. Moving on to food it was very mid as another reviewer put it. I’ve literally had better tasting pastas from frozen stouffers meals you can get at the grocery store. The pork tenderloin was not that good and tasted bland. The desserts were good but those can’t really be messed up. Biggest irk of all is a mandatory 20% service charge that isn’t tip. Seems the owner of this place is being greedy and trying to collect a 20% charge and tips as well. Thank the california legislature for the new junk fees law starting July 2024 that will hopefully put an end to this behavior.

This place has a very nice atmosphere the outdoor dining is the best spot. With the fire and the over head lights with the grape vine is cool! The food is delicious 😋 I really like the salmon my partner got the chicken parmasan. All very good friendly staff! Definitely recommend if you want authentic Italian.

Gilroy isn’t really the most exciting place around but I still always enjoy the restaurants in town. You can’t go wrong with mama Mia’s. The portions were big but all bites were equally tasty. So my left overs heated up great. The service was pretty nice as well. I always end up in gilroy for work so I’ll def be back
