Warm welcome and very friendly staff, they will help you to choose your dish, atmosphere is great. But the main thing FOOD is not good not even OKAY! I ordered a chicken and a lamb item, both were pre cooked, not fresh. Tastes like Pre boiled chicken cut into pieces and soaked in sauce, that’s it!! No authentic flavor. Lamb was tough to chew ! Both items smell stale. With their awesome service By improving their food taste and quality it could be a nice place to try Indian cuisine.
Great food! Was super helpful with helping me pick out dishes as I don't know Indian food well. I'm not able to eat spicy hot food, they had some great options for my needs for mild dishes!
Tasty food, friendly staffers
Small eatery with India cuisine, nice favor and reasonable prices.
Liked the veggie Samosas, nice crispy wrap with tasty spicy filling and two sauces. The spiciness is okay for me but might be a bit on spicy side for those not used to spiciness.
They offered three leveled spiciness, I choice the medium for the in the middle. I would not go spicy than this as it is already on the limit that I would consider as enjoyable. If you are not used to spicy food, the medium would be way over your like.
I love trying new places but unfortunately I can't say I'm a fan of Indian cuisine....I Xpected flavor since it's supposed to b spicy but it was bland. I Xpected chicken in my meal there were 5 bites of it and the rest....sauce.
The cucumber water was the best part so not returning to this place.
Oh on a side note: there are two locations of Malhis and the 1st one we went to was closed!!! Even tho the sign was lit up n said open and the schedule stated it was business hours~the waiter of the 2nd location said they're renovating👀
I am quite passionate about Indian food and have tried many places so far. This restaurant definitely is a five star one.
I tried their lamb vindaloo at its highest spicy level, it met expectations since it was very hot, fresh, lamb was well cooked, and the portion was as expected. It comes with a good portion of white rice so this choice can’t go wrong.
The veggie biryani was also delicious, rice properly cooked (not dry) and a lot of vegetables on it.
Their samosas are freshly made, it’s a pair in the order and they are fairly big and tasty, recommend them.
I like to order a side of onions and green chili to spice up the meal for those ones looking for hot food. Lastly, their tea is fantastic and they refill it with new and hot tea if you request it.
Great job guys, keep up the good flavor.
Average food. I did not want to review this but thought my review will be useful to others.
The papri chat was okay. It was not well balanced with chutneys. Maybe if they have added proper balance chutneys then it would have tasted average.
Other foods were also not so good as in reviews. Still I am not sure about non veg. Since we tried veg food only.
We were here in Palmdale to visit LA and see other attractions. It was raining and we thought about having Indian food. The service is good and the food too but the baingan bharta didn't taste like it and similarly the Srilankan chicken curry didn't taste like one either. I have to say that any kind of biriyani (chicken/vegetable), is not worth eating here. The naan, is good but the chaat papdi that I was looking forward to eating but was a disappointment. There's no papdi and the yogurt has cheese too. If you have eaten a good chaat papdi then you will cry looking at this one. I was very disappointed and the rest was just to finish off dinner.
For vegetarians, there's an option called mock chicken which is actually not meat. One of our friends used the restroom and said good went after eating the food so you can imagine. I will not recommend this place but if you have no choice then trying out their cooking is not bad just don't have in mind that you will get to eat a good biriyani or baingan bharta or so. It's all as per the chef's choice.
We ordered saag paneer, a half tandoori chicken, and naan bread off ubereats for pickup.
The saag paneer was average, but the tandoori chicken was basically inedible. It had the flavor of reheated chicken, and it was VERY dry. Also, 2 1/2 pieces of thigh and a drumstick is not a half chicken. Not in any world. And yes, I was given a half piece of a thigh.
We had been there before and had a similar experience (we were given chicken vindaloo instead of the beef vindaloo we had ordered, had naan that was hard, and watery raita), but we decided to try again in case it was an off day. I will add, though, that the people who work there are very kind. I hope they can do better in the future with the food.
