Make It Sweet - Bakery and Cake Shop in East Lansing - 2650 E Grand River Ave Suite C, USA

First time stopping in and I was BLOWN away by how delicious everything I purchased was. I would have purchased more but they were limited in stock (which is a good sign!). Such phenomenal quality. I live 30 minutes away but plan to make it a point to come out here at least every other week and stock up. Stellar treats. I do have to mention, Front staff girl severely struggled with interaction and customer service. She was very rude and cold. I was very put off by her, my husband even made a comment about her before I did. I hope this is not a reflection on the business owner in any way.

This shop is so warm and inviting. It's so sweet not only deliciously but super cute/sweet! I enjoyed all of what I tried there. I loved the sesame mochi cookie the texture and flavor was incredible. The pineapple Victoria cake slice. The banana pudding oh my gosh! Woah! The strawberry scone. And the dacquoise was also amazing! A must taste! They also have amazing beverages to choose from. Got the matcha latte! Yum!

We have been frequenting Make It Sweet for the past two years, and let me tell you, this place has become a weekly stop (one of our favorite parts of our week). The Oreo shakes and Banana Carmel Cream Lattes are absolutely killer, as is the banana pudding, the macarons, the chocolate cakes, the donuts, the Nutella cookies, you name it. They’re so kind and everything is made by hand! They also offer some great gift treat boxes, group orders, and are so incredibly hard working for their customers. I cannot give a higher review for this place, and if you haven’t been there, you need to go and experience it for yourself! AMAZING! 💗 This is my new go-to dessert shop! Pros: Friendly employees Wide variety (and rotating menus to keep you coming back!) Fantastic flavors with perfect balance Cons: The guava mojito didn’t have a strong lime or mint flavor if still tasted delicious! We especially loved the creme brulee castella cake!

Ordered strawberry creme cake for birthday. Expensive but enjoyable. Raspberry creme delicious. Bought a coffee macaroon, tirimisu, & salted pretzel chocolate chip gourmet cookie. All lacked a strong flavor. Cookie was thick & crunchy, so disappointed in these 3 items.

Tried their desserts over our family's holiday gathering and absolutely loved all of them. Quality is simply unmatched. Friendly service and great vibe as well. Can't wait to go back for more!

This place has amazingly delicious desserts! Ordered a strawberry chantilly cake for my son’s birthday (his request) and everyone was raving about how delicious the cake was. Needless to say there wasn’t any leftovers. Owner and staff was very friendly, opened the door for us and and welcomed us in. We will be back for more full sized cakes 🎂

It’s so rare to find a bakery here that understands balance of flavor and precise technique. Make It Sweet has those two things down and much more. We tried their carrot cake, raspberry and caramel dacquoise, and cheesecake. We also had a vanilla and banana latte. Everything was phenomenal. The carrot cake moist and fresh, dacquoise had a nice almond flavor and wasn’t overly sweet, and the cheesecake was super light and caramelized on top. We will definitely be back and I recommend everyone try them, especially if you prefer desserts that don’t feel like a mouthful of granulated sugar.
