Love the venue. Very authentic. Breakfast was delicious. We sat at a long table with other guests and met a family from Belgium and a sweet couple on an anniversary trip. Grounds were nice. Spacious bathroom. Would definitely stay again if I am in the area.

Très belle expérience pour ces 2 nuits à la Maison Mouton. Charmant accueil, en français cajun, et grande hospitalité. Notre chambre était superbe, pleine de charme avec un lit très confortable. Très belle table pour un délicieux petit déjeuner. De nombreux conseils nous ont été donnés pour les restaurants des environs. En fin d'après-midi, nous avons assisté à un petit concert de musique cajun dans le grand salon. Trop chouette ! Une étape à ne pas manquer !

What a charming find! There are not many places like this in the US. The breakfast was amazing, the staff was kind, the history was rich. We loved getting to meet other visitors, too. Our room was huge! Everything was lovely, and we certainly will be back when we pass through Lafayette.

We were only there for one night and had a wonderful experience. The room was nice and the breakfast was delicious. Donell was a joy to chat with. The entire staff was welcoming and made you feel at home. We will definitely stay here again if we are back in Lafayette. I highly recommend it!!!

Really great location, clean rooms, historically relevant, good breakfast and friendly support staff. Although, if you have a medical disability like my husband, they will violate state and federal law and forcibly collect money for an additional fee for medical service dogs apparently with no exception. They will also downgrade your room if you pay higher without a refund if there are any disruptions to any of there cabins that you book.

A character property with a warm welcome and a history given of the home. Unfortunately it’s not a well appointed property - or that was our experience with our room. AC wasn’t great although supported with separate units these were so noisy, so no good to sleep switched on. The bathroom was across a corridor and was tiny. The bath was so narrow and trying to use the shower was nearly impossible without water going everywhere. The bathroom had a thin veil of a curtain and with lights on I presume could be seen by the neighbours had they decided to look up! I sat in the dark when on the toilet late at night! The bed is very high so difficult to get into - a watch out if you aren’t able to climb up easily. Breakfast was better day one than two. Not any choice but a friendly and inviting set up where you get chance to meet other guests staying there. Based on our expectations it was not a comfortable stay for two nights. One night at the most would have been tolerable. I’d love to have rated this higher but it needs a lot of TLC and in parts, a good clean and an update. Team were all very friendly and worked hard. When checking out no one asked how our stay was, so we couldn’t give any feedback. This place has so much potential but needs investment.

If you really love Cajun Culture, this is the place to go. The rooms are great as well as the service. The breakfast was wonderful, and the visitors are from all over the world. My wife and I have gone many time to this Bed and Breakfast and have never been disappointed!!

Bel établissement où l'accueil est très agréable. L'ambiance convivial avec les autres voyageurs le matin au petit déjeuner est super sympa, et le moment musical Cajun avec Helaire (ou John) est vraiment agréable et dépaysant ! Merci beaucoup pour ces moments ! Les chambres sont bien, mais la salle de bain du dernier étage est un peu compliquée à gérer en famille. Des rideaux occultants seraient bienvenus aussi ! Certains points mériteraient une petite rénovation.
