The staff were incredibly attentive, very friendly and knowledgeable about the history of the home and community. The house is beautifully restored and somehow, even with the elegant furniture and grand 14 foot ceilings, there was a cozy comfort. The beds are very comfortable. Breakfast cooked by Bobby in the morning was so good, especially the hash browns. Such a romantic home. Great location for a family event or a long weekend get away with your love. True Louisiana hospitality. Thank you for a wonderful experience.
Our group came to Louisiana to attend our daughter's wedding. The rooms were breathtakingly beautiful, the antique furniture was gorgeous, and the beds were very comfortable. Everything was very clean. Miss Bobbi made delicious breakfast each morning and was very accommodating of our dietary restrictions. The location was convenient for all the touristy stuff we wanted to do as well. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.
The Maison is very charming! The beautiful||Property is one of the original houses of Natchitoches being built in the 1800s. Beautiful antiques filled the house. It also has a connection to the more modern Steel Magnolia House that's two houses down from the Maison. We were allowed to hang out and swim on the Steel Magnolia property. Dan, the owner, is very personable. He is also a very charming southern gentleman who ate breakfast with us on Sunday to make sure our stay was wonderful. Ms. Rose and the staff were very friendly! They made a yummy breakfast, and had smiles on their beautiful faces the whole time. I cannot wait to go back during the 30th Steel Magnolia Anniversary on November 8-14th. Even though both bed and breakfasts were sold out for that weekend, Mr. Dan and Amber made sure that we could still get accommodations by offering their lodge to us and having a shuttle available to get us back and forth to the anniversary weekend in Natchitoches! I highly recommend taking a weekend trip to Natchitoches for a beautiful fun weekend and stay at the Maison or Steel Magnolia Bed and Breakfast!
We rented the cottage for the weekend. Due to my mom not able to climb stares, we chose not to stay in the house. We were greeted by Cindy. She showed us around and was very friendly and helpful. Over the weekend, we enjoyed many of her stories about the local homes and history. We enjoyed a wonderful breakfast in the main house. The cottage was so perfect for the three of us. We were even able to walk to the Steel Magnolia home and meet the owner and peek inside. It was a wonderful weekend meeting some great people. I will say the only thing I would have changed, would be to add a rail on the ramp that goes into the back of the home where we ate breakfast. It would have made it more convenient for my mom to walk up it. But we would definitely stay here again.
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our visit! The house is beautiful, full of antique furniture and the staff was amazing! Mama rose cooked a wonderful breakfast and the owner treated us like family. We even had access to the Steel Magnolia house which is a definitely a must see! If you were not a fan of the movie before the visit you will be when you leave. You can’t beat watching the movie in the house it was filmed in! Thank you Dan Dyess for a memorable weekend.
Beautiful place, Library Suite, bed comfortable. Ms Denise and staff were fantastic and so hospitable. Very relaxing time, love the history of all the places. Definitely recommend staying here and we will be back.
My husband and I spent a weekend during the Christmas Festival at this grand old house. The decor was beautiful, the staff was over the top friendly and we really enjoyed our breakfasts in the company of the other guests. We especially enjoyed the grape salad and googled the recipe as soon as we got home and made more!. The location was perfect for exploring the historic district of Natchitoches. This was our first trip there and we thoroughly enjoyed it!
The house was beautiful and comfortable. We were one of 2 couples in the house that night so we didn't have breakfast there but were able to join the guests at the Steel Magnolia Bed & Breakfast instead. The town of Natchitoches is amazing with great shopping at cute little shops on the main street. We would stay here again if we go back.

Great food and location, but even better customer service. The owner was so pleasant and polite. I enjoyed talking with her. She saw that my pancakes were on the dark side and stated that she would go to the kitchen and remake them for me. I am not f

Amazing fried chicken and the nicest people working there. The red beans and rice were insanely good as well. It was the kind of lunch that made us debate afterwards if it was the best fried chicken that we had ever had. It is that good. So cri
