MainStay Suites Omaha Old Mill - Extended stay hotel in Omaha - 360 S 108th Ave, USA

I called the hotel (I have screenshots of my phone logs) on the day of my arrival and notified them that I will be arriving late (after 2 am). Despite that, they not only no showed me (when I arrived after 2 am) but also threatened to call the police. One of the worst experiences I have had so far.||||I had to spend over 2 hours of my time haggling with the Expedia agent who spoke with the hotel staff and only then did they relent and give me the full refund. Their disgraceful, despicable, and deceitful practices were and continues to be on full display. Clearly, customer comes last for them.||||TO THE OWNER||Your hotel no-showing me resulted in me getting a room elsewhere at 330 AM after being shown the door unceremoniously by your staff. Also, the price to book another room on CWS weekend was astronomical. There has been NO response from your hotel regarding my ask to compensate for the the terrible experience/ inconvenience caused by your staff and cover the extra cost incurred for the hotel room due to the same.

A second visit to this location after a positive & comfortable stay 2 yrs ago. Reservations made directly to get double room were easy & check in also went smoothly. Its also easy to stay here when traveling with your dog overnight or weekend. Minor concerns were quickly addressed by manager at check out. Word of caution to verify prices & services on website when making reservations to insure them before check in.

The room keycards keep stopping within a day, so we constantly have to go to the front to get new ones. Fire/smoke alarms barely audible from inside a room. Also, every back door to the hotel is completely unlocked without the need for a keycard. I'd say that defeats the whole purpose, considering the card-swipes for all the doors are still there.

The customer service at this hotel is by far much better than many. The 3-11 gal Kaylee is one of the most helpful representatives I have met. She was attentive to my needs with my kids, compassionate, but still professional. Companies really need to employ more people like her. The rooms were clean and had plenty of space. I would definitely recommend this hotel whether you’re in the middle of a move, in a bind, or just for pleasure. No noise, no traffic, and honestly, I would call this hotel a hidden gem!

So many things went wrong with my stay at this particular hotel. First off they placed my mother and I at the back of the hotel, far away from the one elevator, which would have been ok if we wasn’t there on an extended stay. I ask repeatedly to move closer because of my mother and her health, they first refused and I had to contact my recruiter, had no resolution until my last couple of days. If you are there on an extended stay they will only clean your room once a week. I asked for clean linen and they refused to give it to me (the house keeper and the front desk) so I had to explain my sheets where messed up because of my menstrual which was embarrassing and he finally said I would have to come downstairs for clean sheets. The police were on the scene several times while I was there because I assume domestic violence and it seemed to be a lot of drug addicts there,. I tried to check out early but they wouldn’t give a refund.

Started staying here when I would visit Omaha back when they were doing "renovations". Although the renovations did not appear to improve the quality of the rooms. It seems over time it is getting progressively worse. My most recent stay it smelled like weed in the hallways, people grilling outside was causing smoke smell in the mornings, and frequent issues with our key cards not working. I used to be able to look past these issues because of the price, but now, with higher prices and these issues worsening, I don't plan on relying on this place when visiting Omaha anymore.

After checking in Sunday afternoon and working Sunday night, I bought some groceries. I opened the fridge and there was some old moldy food that a previous guest had left. I figured if housekeeping didn't clean the fridge they probably didn't change the sheets and blankets on the mattress. So I removed all the linens from the mattress and I immediately noticed what looks like black mold on the mattress. There's candy wrappers and other trash under the bed and behind the nightstand so I sincerely doubt my room, room #201 was cleaned at all. I checked in on Sunday and booked the room for six days, but my room key card only works for half a day, so every time I exit my room, I'm unable to get back in without going to the lobby. I highly recommend avoiding Mainstay Suites at all costs. Pay the extra money for the Holiday Inn Express or Comfort Suites.

Great hotel. All clean and well maintained. Front desk went above and beyond for us. Wish they had availability for an extra day!
