MainStay Suites Chicago Schaumburg - Extended stay hotel in Schaumburg - 1200 Bank Dr, USA

I reserved a room for my sister ,I did say she is coming from India and she dos not have credit card and I like to make sure all is good for her ,I was informed it is all good , she arrived she was not able to pay cash so she was not able to have the room . we find a friend that was attending the same event and my sister was fine . so be on the look out as they just want to sale you the room and after that nothing matters . also after you maid the reservation do not except to talk with others they just want to seal you very cheap vacation package. the front desk person only was not helpful but very hostile .next day I called the hotel to inform the GM but she did not care to lessen and ganged up on me .

Ny name is Nicole Clark, my friend is waiting to get into his apartment in September. He did not know what to do as he had to work. He had been at the Extended Stay, not happy due to the lack of cleanliness. It was not good. Thankfully our kind neighbors told him about this place. He came too inspect and that day he switched. This is a very nice place to be if your waiting for an apartment or displaced for a moment, or have to stay in town for a week or so and don’t want to eat out all the time. We make dinner here when i come and visit like we would at home. It’s basically a furnished apartment. I have to comment on the maid services. They are so helpful. I can not let them clean for me but I do use their vacuum and cleaning supplies. They all are fantastic right down to the office staff. They are well educated about the area, restaurants, places of nature. We also have brochures downstairs to locate what are where. We could not be happier. I love the social place of the hotel inside and out. We have laundry machine’s and services in House and a high end gym. Very happy. Clean.

Absolutely disgusting. Crumbs everywhere, liquids on the wall, mirrors and sink, food in the fridge, garbage on the floors, carpet was stained. Headboard was scratched and the couch looked like somebody was murdered on it, BOTH sides of the cushions. The vents had probably NEVER been cleaned, upholstry on the chairs ripped. Overpriced scam artist. Terrible terrible terrible Experience to the point we checked out IMMEDIATELY after seeing the room provided. Wasted an entire trip to get here. The ONLY positive was that we got our money back! Thanks for nothing!

I stayed in this hotel many nights. Today was my last attempt. I booked a room through their website, paid the hotel with my boss's card, and when I arrived at the hotel in the middle of the night, the person in charge said that they need a credit card authorization form. My question is why didn't anyone mention this before?! Why didn't you say so in your long and meaningless confirmation email?! How can I stay at other hotels, but yours?! Again, I stayed in this very hotel without needing such a thing. This was just stupid! You ruined my night and trip. I'll do my best to stay away from Choice Hotels, even though I know they won't care.

This is a good hotel with a few problems.|1) The hotel is not accessible/ wheel chair friendly. | Not only are there double dog leg turns when you enter the building, while the main doors are wider then the end of the building doors, none of them have an assist button to open the door. They are also a little heavy for someone in a chair to open. Also the short hallway has a double dog leg turn in it as well. |(Double Dogleg = 2 90 degree turns.)|2) We stayed in room #139 and were let down by housekeeping. |a) The coffee pot and two of the pans that were supposed to be cleaned and stocked in the room were not. (One pan was dirt and one was missing.)|b) The dishes in the dish washer were dirty so obviously housekeeping did not check that.|c) There was missing silverware including a broken steak knife, whose blade we found on floor by the heater.|d) There was dried vomit in the carpet, at the foot of the bed by a wall.|e) We asked for coffee pot and after 2 days of housekeeping telling the front desk it was delivered, when they did not, the front desk got one for me. |f) And in the annoyance category - The shampoo bottle in the bathroom was used. It was not full when we got there.|Normally I leave a small tip for housekeeping, this time I did not.||Better Stuff!!!|3) The front desk was busy covering for the housekeeping. They got us the pans we needed so we could cook our dinner the night we arrived after the repeated failure of housekeeping to deliver a coffee pot they got one for me. Thanks Front Desk People!|4) The hotel is not keeping a proper stock of things so the Front Desk "Was raiding rooms" to get us the supplies they needed. The management should have a couple extra rooms worth of supplies on hand for the front desk to make necessary assists.||The high point!!!|5) The furnishing were up to standard. The bed is one of the most comfortable beds I have slept on this year. The chair is comfortable and there are plenty of electrical outlets! The only negative was the extra warning light that was directly over the bed and pulsing every couple of minutes. I could not fall asleep on my back with that light. So I had to sleep on my side.||We have requested a call from the manager to talk about our visit. I have been explicit so that he can address housekeeping and other visitors can monitor the situation.

i think the most concerning is the shower handle being slightly broken and prone to turning when grabbed. not only that, but the drain is mostly clogged and the bathtub faucet drips constantly the pull-out couch is very uncomfortable, as when pulled out the middle of the mattress sinks and the head falls through the frame. it was more comfortable sleeping on it as a couch instead of a bed when we asked for paper towels, they told us they were out. and when we later asked for another blanket for whoever slept on the couch, they said they were out and offered bedsheets. at least we were given an alternative, but being out of more basic items isn't a good look overall, it's cheap, and you're generally getting what your paying for

The front desk receptionist was rude and in hurry he was not tentative. the room heating and cooling system was broken. There was burned like smell in the room. The queen bed was very small. Over all not a good place to stay not a calming environment. I would never suggest this place.

Stayed here before meeting my daughter in Chicago the next day. Outside seemed a bit sketchy when we pulled up. People kinda hanging out by the lobby door. Not very comfortable intro. Checked in with no issue, went to the room. Kind of odd room. One bedroom suite so separate living room, kitchenette, and bathroom separated from the bedroom. OK, til we realized no cooking or serving items. Called the desk, they said check the dishwasher. Yep there they are, but why still in the dishwasher? Hmm. Decided to sit in the living room and watch TV, then realized the sofa was ripped around the legs and had huge stains on the cushions. Realized the chair across the room was covered. Decided to check under the cover and the leatherette material was completely shredded and coming off. What? This is gross. Then noticed the sheer on the living room window was shredded. OMG, this place is a mess. Decided to just deal with it. Only one night. Noticed a salt/pepper shaker in the cabinet. Empty, of course. Now, why is that here? Who would fill up this shaker set with their own salt/pepper, then empty it again upon leaving? Yeah, no one. Weird. So the bedroom was OK except no outlet on my side of the bed so couldn't charge phone overnight. Whatever. Got up in the morning and started showers. Tiny sink with no storage room and cracked shower floor. I did like the adjustable removable shower head. Best part of the room. Overall, I couldn't recommend this property. Just too dirty and thrown together to make me feel good about it. Too bad, because the location is good. Management just doesn't care about their reputation, which is too bad.
