Main Street Creamery & Cafe - Ice cream shop in Wethersfield - 271 Main St, USA

First time trying their ice cream and can’t complain at all! Ordered 4 flights with different flavors. We had about 10 different flavor ice creams, a couple of each of the cookies, brownies, and each flavor macaroons. Money was well spent! Delicious ice creams and baked goods. The staff was very pleasant and friendly as well; and the store was clean.

This place is always raved about, in fact, I believe they made the list for one of the best ice cream spots in CT. I have to say, it’s cute & I really enjoyed the vibe of the cafe itself with the decor. There’s not a lot of seating inside, but there’s a decent amount of seating outside. Although a bit on the pricey side, they offer a wide variety of flavors & the staff seemed nice. However, I’m 95% sure most, if not all of their flavors are made by Pralines. A lot of people like it, but it’s just not for me. The quality is relatively poor, the scoop of chocolate PB nightmare I had only had a total of 2 peanut butter cups in it. It melts fast (the amount of air in the ice cream itself makes it melt: more air = quicker melting). I’ll pass next time as there’s other spots I enjoy more.

Many options, I'd highly recommend the flight. Staff is excellent. There's some indoor seating and a lot of outdoor seating. We rented the room for a corporate event, and it was perfect! My staff LOVED the freezes the most. There definitely something for everyone here.

Visited this place while I was driving through Old Wethersfield one day and I am fairly impressed. They have so many ice cream flavors and also vegan options! It was a nice surprise. They do not accept cards (at least when I was there) but thankfully I had cash on me. They also have an ATM inside the store so not too big of a deal.

This place was an easy 5. You could tell from the outside that it has that real old-school creamery feel. I actually drove by two times before going in the third - there was a line out the door that was quite long and I was on time constraints. That being said, the inside is fairly small so a line outside doesn't mean much and it goes very quickly. They have a great variety of flavors - I chose beez kneez, s'mores and raspberry Oreo. Great quality, decent price - $7.50 for 3 scoops. They are cash only but do accept Venmo which I greatly appreciate. Great quality plastic spoons and as always I LOVE the flight option. Adorable little town as well.

Always a good experience. The owner is all about having a good family experience, so the employees are always friendly. This is cash only, but they do have an ATM! This is one of our kids favorite places to go. It's usually too packed to eat indoors, but there are a lot of places to sit and eat outdoors. There's a playground for littles not too far away, a cove to walk to - for skipping rocks or fishing, and a few other places to sit and eat at, or just walk around town for pieces of history.

Great place to grab some of your favorite ice cream flavors and a few flavors you’ve probably never heard of. They are always coming out with new flavors and ideas! Grab a scoop (or four) and walk the streets of the oldest town in CT!

A must try if your in the old Wethersfield area. The ice cream was fantastic! We got a flight with s’mores, coconut candy bar, salted caramel pretzel and espresso all were good but the coconut was the best. The sundaes are well worth the price as it’s filled with so much of toppings, paid $19 for both. Only down fall is the line was very long so if you go at peak hours prepare to wait. We will be back!
