Extensive and unique menu offerings. Friendly and attractive service. Booths could use an update. Food was excellent!
The service was friendly and inviting, our server gave us plenty of time to choose what to order and our food came out piping hot and was very good. I had the Pizza Burger and recommend this if you like the taste of meatballs and marinara for $11 They have cheesy breadsticks for $7 that are fantastic and if you are in the mood for a big breakfast get the Round Up for $18
The portions are large and the prices are reasonable. I had the Yooper omlet with a side of hollandaise. The hollandaise was too buttery and lacked flavor but the Yooper was delicious on its own. I will get it again! The men's bathroom is a bit of an outdated dungeon. The coffee was weak but it does the job if you drink a whole pot. Everyone else in the party was underwhelmed by the coffee but enjoyed the food. Overall recommended!
We stopped for a terrific breakfast after a long camping trip. The Yooper omelette was one of the best I've ever had and huge portions!!
Service is wonderful. Food was fresh and served hot. I love small town diners like this. This is the heart of America.
Great breakfasts! Friendly service! Never have had a bad experience in all the years we've come to Iron River, and I was there when it was Mertens!!!!
It was good food but had only 1 waitress working on 4th July weekend don't you think you'd have more???? The entire place was full with one waitress running around falling behind. Sat there for almost 2 hours just for breakfast.
Menu choices are wonderful, delicious and generous! All in all very nice.

I ain't old enough to legally purchase from here, so I'm not sure why it asked me to review it... but I do have a family member who works here (not saying who they are for privacy purposes). From what I've been told and what I heard from others, the
Stopped for some coffee and breakfast at 7 Embers Coffee. Very nice, family owned and run business. Kids help and do fantastic. They roast, getting and brew their own coffee which is very good! The old flannel shirt was good and one of the more
My friends and I could not possibly have been happier with the service provided by Alicia, Danielle, Carlos, Skunk Mike and Yasi! They were accommodating of our large group size, helped us all find everything we needed, and were just a blast to inter
Michelle saved my life! I screwed everything up and she worked her magic and fixed it all. All with a smile on her face. Holly was also helpful and friendly. Thank goodness for this store and these wonderful ladies!
One of my favorite stops in the Upper Peninsula. Outstanding friendly service. Warm cozy vibe. The coffees are delicious works of art. Our breakfast of Garden Gnome and Strawberry Fields Crepes was unexpected and scrumptious. Highly recommend a
They were able to make me a beautiful floral arrangement within just a few minutes of me asking for what I wanted. Such incredible work and awesome vibes from this place!!! Seems like there's a little bit of something for everyone (:
We have been staying here for years when we come to the UP for fishing, hunting and visiting friends. It's not a fancy chain motel. But if you're looking for a nice, clean, quiet place to stay on a beautiful little northern lake in the center of UP r
Amazing menus! Great selection of subs. The "1 was delicious. The #44 had the best flavor I've had in a long time! The Cuban was a homerun of flavors. Soft delicious breads! Next time, we will try Scott's pizzas because the frozen ones looked good!
It's always a good day when "The Stand" is open! Love the ice cream, the burgers are amazing and the service is always with a smile! Love the outside tables, too.
