Main Street Bed and Breakfast - Bed & breakfast in Fredericksburg - 337 E Main St, USA

My Wife and I chose Main Street Bed and Breakfast as the place to celebrate our 54th wedding anniversary. I picked based on location and the photos on line. We were not disappointed. The room was clean, the management was friendly and we were within walking distance of a lot of entertainment and restaurants. We are not drinkers but couldn’t resist buying a bottle of peach wine and setting on the balcony watching traffic pass by on Main Street. The pool area was well maintained. We will stay here again.

Review for room 4 Pros - clean room, very comfortable bed and pillows, good quality linens. Clean pool. Friendly employees. Good breakfasts. Good private parking. Very good AC. Cons - downspout right at the entrance to the rooms but was not connected to anything and had sharp edges. Jacuzzi tub in the room didn’t work. No closets. No pool lights at night (that we were aware of). Just be aware (and is stated in room description) that this room has no shower, just a shower head on the side of the tub.

Pros: Location - right on Main Street, extremely convenient to walk through town or to the 290 Wine Shuttle Cleanliness- very clean and welcoming Comfortable bedding Cute bathroom with large tub Breakfast included Easy late check in Attractive pool Cons: Room is smaller than pictured on website Bathroom door has full windows, would be nice if it had a curtain Air conditioning in room worked well but fan did not appear to be working or was not noticeable Bring your own soap - soap provided left oily residue that was hard to rinse off Scratchy towels To summarize: cute and comfy and conveniently located, but did have some things that could be improved. Would probably come back but maybe stay in a different room and bring my own soap

The rooms were clean, well provisioned and the bed and pillows were the best I've ever slept on. In fact, I am trying to find out where to buy the pillows. Everyone on staff was super nice and respectful of our privacy. They were also helpful in helping us find our way around. Would definitely go back.

Our room was not clean. The jet tub did not work, and had black residue on the inside. I really expected more from a small bed and better breakfast as we were paying $182+ a night. It was all microwaved food for breakfast, and was extremely disappointing. The location was the only redeeming quality. I wouldn't stay again, and it wasn't a pleasant mini-honeymoon get-away. I honestly feel I wasted my money on this hotel. It was not a good value.

We made reservations for this place several months ago for my daughters 30th birthday. A few weeks later we needed to cancel because of a conflicting date. We called to cancel and got told that there would be a small charge for the cancellation ( even with it being several months in advance). Fine. Well fast forward to several months later and we just got charged for the FULL amount. We called and talked to the “owner” last night ( who needs to work on her hospitality because she was very rude) and she told us to search our phone records to see if we actually called them. This is ridiculous. We visit this town very often and i can guarantee that we will never stay here. Do better.

Great location but the batting experience left something to be desired. The two person jacuzzi tub had a sprayer that was more of a trickle. Was hard to feel like your hair got clean without any pressure.

Location was perfect. We didn’t have many interactions with staff, but the few times we did they were very nice. We stayed in Suite 208. It was very clean and super cute. I only give a warning to those wanting to stay in this suite, it is not the room to chose if you have not been together very long or are wanting privacy when you use the restroom. The only thing separating your roommate and you while you💩is a sliding glass door that does not muffle sounds well. My husband and I have been together for almost 8 years and it didn’t bother us. We actually had a giggle about it. They have other rooms to chose from, so I would def chose a different one if that sort of thing bothers you. Breakfast was good each morning. Each meal had a “homemade” feel to it rather than a restaurant. One morning was quiche with biscuit and sausage, the next was scrambled eggs, toast, and sausage. We had a very pleasant weekend stay here.
